Did you guys get a Cap exemption for the upcoming season?
Seems you are nearly to what other teams are not supposed to go over without penalty and you have a little over 1/2 a roster to fill.
How can you add? |

If a former captain of a team returns to that team then the cap hit doesn’t count |

If there’s room after the important pieces are signed, I wouldn’t mind him back for a million or less on a third line role with Jumbo. |

His ship has sailed, pass big time. He’s part of the Soft Sharks. They need to get more grit and sandpaper |

If Marleau returns to the Sharks, it's after a buyout from a different team ...
If at a minimal cost of salary, their are worse options.

Is the option for another team to act as a middle man and retain salary still a thing? Didn't Vegas do that at one point?
If it's after the July 2nd bonus, the Sens could be of assistance. |

Vegas took on some of Brassard's cap hit, when the Sens traded him to Pittsburgh. I don't remember more specific details, but the rumor at the time was that McPhee agreed to the deal to keep another team in their division from getting "Big Game Brass".
Marleau returning to the Sharks is like the idea of Spezza returning to the Senators. A fun thought exercise with nostalgic appeal, but little relationship to either team's 2019-2020 reality. |

Marleau turned down the Sharks offer of 2 years before he went to the leafs now he wants to come back with his tail between his legs. Like I said that ship has sailed the Sharks need to get younger, Not with a 40 year old. |

You can't just hang his jersey from the rafters with him still in it! Wait until his contract runs out somewhere else. Let him retire. Then bring him back for the retiring of his jersey in 20-21. Until then, he's not the Sharks' problem. You have a good team but your cap is runneth over; or at least it's getting pretty full. |

Just wondering if the Sharks have any interest in resigning Nyquist ? If they do then the Wing's 3rd round pick from the trade turns into a 2nd round pick (for next year I believe). How did Nyquist for you guys ? I didn't keep up with his stats / play after the trade. |

After the Carolina trade, It looks like it could actually happen if the stars align right. I would be beyond completely stoked. |
