So you shed 6.5 mil in Stepan.... while Point will be 9mil+..... so that puts you 2.5 mil minimum over the cap..... good math Tanner. Also, you actually think Tampa would
make that trade??!! Holy crap you have no business being a blogger on this or any site. Go home! |

They can put Hossa on LITR and exceed the cap by 5.2 millions. So yeah, they would be fine. You're the one who should go home. |

Speak of dementia...best goalie tandem in the league...ever heard of the Islanders last year...good luck trading for a real number one center, usually only available through draft. Like strome or Domi or...there goes the theory of chayka making great trades as well...this is fun and so easy... |

I love how you told a fan last week you NEVER said Chychrun would be an all star player
and then a week later say
On defense Chychrun is capable of putting up elite results. - homiedclown

come on now... that was a pretty big package for point that he recommended and he also said he's not sure tampa would even do it. Tanner is saying that is the type of deal/player the coyotes should be attempting and he's right. Not unreasonable. No hyberbole.
We can't just give this guy poop everytime he says anything. He says enough goofy stuff that we can rag on him for so give him a break when he says something normal.
Good blog James. |

The premise of the blog makes sense but it is still loaded with the typical tanner over exaggerations and outlandish statements. It's like he can't help himself but write about hockey as if he was writing about politics for cnn. It's all click bait , no objectivity nonsense.
It's either all for attention or he is seriously inept when it comes to discussing hockey. I really do not know which one. |

Genius GM Chayka has his team positioned in the worst place you can put a team. Good but not good enough and capped out. |

I stopped reading after he claimed Raanta and Kuemper are the best goalie tandem in the NHL. I hope you didn’t hurt yourself stretching on that one |
|
|
|
Why not just wait for Domi or Strome to develop into your 1C? |
|

JT... The goaltending thing is insultingly naive for a "professional" blogger. I get that you're the coyotes guy, and you're also a millenial who sees only the highest highs and lowest of lows.
Kuemper performed far beyond his consistent capabilities last season. Adrenaline and opportunity fuelled success. Case and point: Andrew Hammond. 20-1-2 (in 24gp) in his rookie season with Ottawa. In the 3 years since? 7-14-4 in 31gp!
Kuemper was proven to be an average backup throughout his career. Last year was an anomaly. He'll be back to average this season.
Raanta has only once in his career played more than 30 NHL games in a season... at 30 years old. Not only has he been injury prone, but his consistency and endurance has never really been challenged. 47 games one season. Solid save percentages, I'll give him that. But I'd be more confident with about 50% of the league's tandem tendies compared to these two.
Personally, I prefer bloggers who write based on fact, knowledge, and very little "home town bias". This click bait crap being spewed here regularly needs to have some kind of analytic background at some point in time. Not advanced stats, common sense and knowledge of the game.
I'm not always right, but I see the game as it is. A student and keen observer of the intricacies and anomalies forever present in this game we love. Maybe that's my problem though. If I smoke a fatty and type whatever thoughts first pop into mind, can I start blogging? Because it doesn't appear there's much space for analysts of the game around here. |

This article is worse than a timeshare presentation for the exotic Branson, MO. Year after year Tanner tries to remind everyone how good the Coyotes are and he gives up on the team before mid season. |
