FIRST!!!
any habs rumours?!?
nuff said - Skalapy
This Maple Queefs guy is a huge Habs fan always wondering what's up in Habs land, in your defense it is pretty neat being the team that controls the news cycle;
Well little fella the latest is Bergy is already along trade talks regarding Laine as another option instead of an offer sheet. Reports are Laine is looking for around 10M. Bergy and Chevy being buddies so if Chevy feels Laine wants more than they are willing to pay a trade may work out instead of an offer sheet. There is your Habs nugget to get you through the day, champ
Laine IS better |

Ya......makes perfect sense....
27 year old Hall (.91 ppg) who gets hurt a lot (averages 62 games per year) and is going to be a UFA and if an extension is negotiated before the trade will definitely be in the $10 mill range for 25 year old Gaudreau (.98 ppg) in a STEAL of a contract for 3 more years for $6.75 mill.
Yes hall is from Calgary gaudreau is from NJ but this trade does not make the flames better at all. it’s a definite step backwards. Unless the deal also has a hischer for backlund component to it (no way NJ does this) flames need to walk away IMMEDIATELY. - kresco
yes 3 UFA years left opposed to 1 for Hall favors the Devils too much. Something else could be added. Devils could add a draft pick or prospect.
Then again, why do the deal if Hall wants to go to Flames. He can be signed as a UFA next summer. |

Ahh, compare Johnny's team that made the playoffs to Hall's team.
Johnny did not carry Calgary, many had them picked to win it all.
Hall's team was pick to win the lottery. - ifiwasgm
No kidding. Calgary had 3 other players playing at a ppg pace. Hall had zero. He dragged a rookie centre around all year long and outscored the next nearest point producer on the team by almost double. But ya Jenny is better. |

Love your fascination with Calgary, but I guess it beats the constant disappointment of Garlic City. |

I think NJ should definitely consider a one for one JG for TH swap if Flames are interested. Not only would they get term but if this off season has taught us anything at all it’s that in the cap era you also need cost certainty more than ever. NJ can then target a more glaring need which is goaltending by spending on Holtby |

Little Johnny is the top left winger in the league, Hall is a close 2nd. If Hall could stay healthy he'd have a chance to out perform Johnny.
Would love to see taylor come home as a ufa and stick it to the Oilers! |

Why? Gaudreau proved that he’s not a playoff performer, much too soft. Hall was league MVP for a reason. He’s the far superior player. - Ihatebrianburke
So the lightning have no playoff performers? Its one year dude
When was Hall's great playoff?
And I don't think and Oilers fan should be saying much about playoffs anyway...you guys dream of being in the race at christmas |

Johnny won a Hart Trophy? Was he ever nominated? - bikeguy99
He was 4th or 5th in voting this past season...had more first place votes than McDavid
Leading scorer, 99 points on the 2nd place team in the league
I mean both are great players but JG has a better contract, longer contract, and has put up more points over the last 5 seasons.
Guys on expiring deals aren't all that valuable...ask the Sens |
