Shattenkirk 2 mill retained + Kreider + Namestnikov for 2020 1st protected + Russell + Pulj + Gagner.

Edit: + Conditional 2021 2nd if Kreider resigns with us.

Edit #2: Gained cap salary can partially be dealt with by burying Manning and possibly Brodziak.

But what if we give a cap dump back in a bigger deal? Kind of rearranging our chairs.

I wouldn't trade the first rounder. We saw some teams trade their picks and cough up a future top center or dman( Islanders drafting walhstrom and Dobson). Holland will make some trades and get some young quality players. Next year we will have cap space. When we locked the dynamic duo up in the same year it was going to take a few years to gain cap space back.

Shattenkirk has restrictions on being traded and would likely never approve a move to the Oilers.

Winnipeg says no and I say no. Not a big fan of Namo, though, so maybe my gauge is different from popular opinion.

I would assume Namo is worth a 3rd... upgrade to a 2nd and make em take Gagner to fit him under.

In an ideal world we trade for Gusev

Castoffs from rebuilding teams a few years into theirs
9 years after our own rebuild. With no real success to show whatsoever

Namestnikov isn’t ideal, no. But he’d still be our 2nd best winger after Draisaitl.

Not that means a whole hell of a lot.

But yeah, I wouldn’t mind seeing him ride shotgun with McDavid and Draisaitl. He did the same with Stamkos and Kucherov after all, and performed relatively well.

Yeah, the reasoning and valuation is probably fine and mostly accurate. Just not a fan of Namo and New York would probably rather find a partner to give them more than 850k in cap savings.

But if the point is to spend cap to fill a hole in the top-6, then I don't think Namo is the answer to that question. I'd much rather put that money towards other options. Buchnevich is my target if we're extorting their cap situation. Kreider would be nice but they likely want to keep him to be competitive this year.

I think he'd be a good pickup. I was actually thinking of him being a part of RNH's line.

It could be worse.

Yeah, I can't think of anything.

This is one pretty (frank)ed up organization. It's like that girl that puts a poop-ton of makeup (facade of the 80's) but once she removes it she looks like a banged up truck (horrid management and current state of the team).

At least we've got McDavid?

That’s going to cost the Sharks after this year when he signs a deal worth 5-6 mil per year....Lebanc has no arb rights and Wilson took advantage just like Lebanc will take advantage after next season

Namestnikov for anything
Just to get rid of him and his cap hit would be great. Cut our losses with this guy.
Good riddance!

Pool Party is better, and younger, and has a higher ceiling than Roslovic. As a Jets fan, I say yes every time
