I'd trade for Krieder for sure. I'm not sure Shattenkirk wants to come West though. I loved him 4 years ago a bit more.

I don't think the stock is particularly high on PJ right now because 1) Hip Surgery 2) Change of scenery doesn't always rub new teams the right way.

Pool Party is better, and younger, and has a higher ceiling than Roslovic. As a Jets fan, I say yes every time

I saw it as two teams trading off underachieving players.

If Puljujarvi hadn't been mishandled the last 3 years would he still be considered an underachiever? If he was sent to the A or back to Europe to mature and work on his game at 18 (like he should have been) he wouldn't be an RFA right now.

They brought in a kid, who barely spoke any English, into a room without a single other Finn to look up to as a mentor, or even a translator. It's no wonder he's struggled to start his career. If this was a player that did the extra two years in Junior he would still be considered a prospect. Instead he's considered a flop?

It's partially on the Oilers for mishandling him and partially on Puljujarvi for being a (frank) goof. We had one Finn in Iiro Pakarinen on the team during his rookie year and the next year they also brought in Jussi Jokinen.

One would think the Blue Jackets seen something they didnt like to pass him over.

Did the Oilers botch JP? Of course they did but people like you seem to want to give JP a free pass like he is the innocent victim in all of this....what about the time he refused to go to the Condors for development because he figured he belonged? (Spoiler alert....he didn’t) and it’s not like he did such a great job on the ice either because he wasn’t ready despite what he thought....his agent certainly isn’t helping his cause either so in the end while the Oilers screwed up his development he certainly didn’t make the most of his opportunities either....it’s just a big mess all around.....so I’ll give the Oilers like 75% of the blame and JP 25%....seems fair

Maybe in the end he was just a guy who benefitted by playing with Aho and Laine....I’m sure we will find out down the road

Can you imagine how the team would look with Sergachev on the blue instead on Pulju holding out.

Would have been a win all around.....while the Oilers tend to rush forwards they have done a better job with defencemen and a huge headache would have been avoided

I'm legitimately furious. Both for Hawks fans and myself. That Holland has yet to be in on these types of deals when these are precisely the things we need to be involved in is only building evidence against him in my eyes.

Maybe it's unfair. Maybe Chicago said they wouldn't move him. It's also reasonable to suggest that Chicago wouldn't have wanted Puljujarvi, but surely there must've been someone we could've offered that'd beat Alex (frank)ing Nylander, right?

Maybe the Hawks weren’t interested in a potential drama case like Puju but who knows....I do know we do have assets that are worth more then Nylander that could have gotten us Jokiharju that I would have gladly parted with....him and Bouchard on the right side? Yes please

Pulju and his dumbass agent made it way harder to trade him.

Yes his agent isn’t doing a very good job at this....it’s one thing to express you want a trade but it’s another to keep it going on and making threats

You did. I can attest to this. And I was all over the Jesse train.
But you also wanted sam Bennett over Leon.

Never even planned for him to be there so I didn't look into him much until the year after. In the same position, I likely would've also fallen victim to the BPA conundrum but I definitely wanted Sergachev more. Even he's not perfect, though. Only the people who were firm on Tkachuk have any bragging rights.
