The issue With Marner, Point, Rantanen is no one wants to sign first. I doubt Leafs actually want Marner signed first despite Eks claim of a deadline.

LOL, as if someone who is actively involved in negotiations with Marner is casually texting inside information with you, Ek. Is this the same “source” who told you about the impending Marner offer sheets? What a joke.

1) This is nonsense, Ek. I have a feeling that your "source close to the Leafs" is just some guy who lives in Toronto, in an overpriced one bedroom apartment near Scotiabank Arena. There's no way someone close to/ or in the Leafs organization would be slipping you these tidbits and ignoring guys like McKenzie, Dreger, Servalli etc.

2) I'm positive at LEAST one GM has unofficially presented Mitch with an offer sheet, which was too low for Mitch and his crew to even consider (during the interview period).

I hope this is true.. I can’t stand how these players are playing hard ball when they are being offered generational wealth. It’s sickening! And for what? Ego? You hear ppl say, “yeah but if you were in that situation you’d do the same thing”. Actually no, most ppl wouldn’t. I’m an elite sales person who makes an incredible amount of money. There was a time when my employer and I got into a contract negotiation over what amounted to 30K in lost income. If I hadn’t agreed, it would have damaged the operation and we wouldn’t have been able to afford the support we needed. Understanding this, I made a deal to lock in a high salary but dropped my commission. I gave up 30K in commission to have a guaranteed contract and so that my company could thrive. Giving us the resources to grow even bigger. Eventually seeing me make even more money.. these damn RFA’s are just spoiled little brats! Came from rich families and are full of entitlement! If he doesn’t sign soon, I hope the Leafs trade him to the desert and he loses all that marketing money! Screw this kid! I’m very close to writing him off and never being a fan of his again!

I would of given up 4 picks for McDavid before he signed his deal! He is the only one that should of been considered for this.
