That is the question, what is fair value.
We have proposed a Top 6 player, something like:
- young 2C at 40+ points with upside
- established 55pt winger

It’s tough to say

I’d keep in mind that the teams that would want to trade for him, are gonna see him as a good defenseman and not a “4”

So i think the return should be pretty good

89 said we were talking to the Jets about Risto for Laine
One would assume we’d have to add
But just that Laine’s name is in the conversation says to me that Botts is at least looking for a really good player back
And he clearly wasn’t hung up on when he brought up Laine

I think Ehlers (or someone like that) is more realistic though
