I had to clean my monitor after i read this article, BOB is the best contract value and I quote, " You only have to pay Bob 10M for the next 7 years." Yeah, that is a deal...

I think the Joki-Nylander will be a trade that's good for both teams. I think JC & the newer coaches will pull the best out of Nylander & everyone else. JC is young & a great communicator. He's always in someone's ear on the bench, always moving & I really like that. I think he was able to build a bridge to the older guys after Q left, which I'm sure they took as a shock. The older guys only knew 1 coach in their NHL careers, but I think they respect JC. I'm excited for what he can bring & implement with a camp & full season. I'm not saying he gets a pass & will do great, I'm saying I will give him a chance. Slight difference. This team, although not shaped the way I expected & have questioned some moves, is going to be fun to watch. They were fun to watch the 2nd half of the season with a pp that was getting better & I think we have a top 3 goalie tandem. I really like that JC & SB are on the same page in sculpting the team. I'll take another swig of Kool-Aid now!

Ammo for Perlini's agent.

The Boston Bruins have reached an agreement with Danton Heinen.

The team announced Tuesday night that they have signed the forward to a two-year contract, which runs through 2020-21, with an annual cap hit of $2.8 million.

Heinen had filed for arbitration, but avoided his August 3 meeting with the deal. He earned $925,000 last season.

The 24-year-old tallied 11 goals and 23 assists for 34 points with a plus-13 rating in 77 games with Boston during the 2018-19 season. The 6-foot-1, 188-pound forward also chipped in two goals and six assists in 24 postseason games.

Perlini’s problem is he has no where to go, he has no leverage.

I doubt Saad goes anywhere, Stan re-acquired him in large part for these next two seasons. Plus, Saad has MNTC (10 team trade list) in the last year of his deal.

If Crawford and Lehner are both back next season I would expect it to be for less than $11 million combined. #50 would be transitioning to a back-up role. Anisimov should be easy to move next summer if needed and one of Murphy, Maatta or de Haan could be moved as well if one of the D prospects are ready to go.

- DarthKane

I think part of stan's plan in bringing players back is partly ego driven. Chemistry can be part of it, but I think he wants to keep guys he's drafted in the system. After all the talk from the first cup being inherited, he's scarred for life.

i asked wiz about Hagel after he was signed. Specifically what hus upside could be - as in first line.

Wiz response at that time was that he is a nice player to add but probably not ideally top line, more likely second offensive line. He can skate and shoot no doubt an offensive producer. The attention to other parts of his game makes Hagel sound even more enticing and possibly won't need much time in the AHL. I"ve read AEL_FOX report as well whuch mentioned hiw the puck follows him around the ice.

I hope that we can roll four strong lines should some kids develop. I remind myself how our bottom lines were better than theirs. On paper and on ice i foresee this possibility with a new group. But is thete another Kreuger. Not Nilsson in that role. Although noticed this: he was vited Rickford mvo as bottom line scirer 19 goals. Hmm

Barrett better than Burrish. Entwhistle more valuable than Brouwer. Soderlund i hesitate to compare bevause he might be an agitator and speedy forechecker supreme. Many bring up Kursaev but i really want to see what tough nosed kid like ReJohnson brings. Highmore is your energy guy whether he plays regularly.

I am uncertain whether Barretnis a seind or thurd line type but has certain offensive game and can be an agitator with his mouth. At this time i cannot endorse other prospects since they have probably morr steos in their development. I do not mean Dach - he will impact sooner or later. I refer to the Boston kid who got injured (Wise is the name?) And there are some russians.

Galvas could surprise on defense. I am thinking he could be very sound but in comparison to Mitchell....not as ogfensive capable and "dk" how many smallish dmen oir roster ideally contains. There is likely a need or usage for what Carlsson and Gilbert bring. And Kyrs or Gus on third pair would be real nice to have instead of a reliable Galvas?

Time will come when we see whom is part of the equation

This series is cringe-inducing, but Dach already has quite a bit of poise, good sense of humor, and a quick mind in front of the camera. Should be a favorite for media scrums once in the show.

Our winning teams were some of the best-looking in the league IMO. Maybe that has been the problem.

Watched game 6 of the 15 final last night, Eddie and Pierre kept mentioning how the line of Kreuger, Desjardins (everyone thought was just a depth move at the trade deadline, probably became just as important as Vermette), and Shaw were stifling the "Triplets". Watching that line aggressively forecheck, make smart plays out of the zone and control against Tampa's top line at the time was beautiful to watch. Oh, and I wish we could get some of Seabrook circa 2015 back, he played awesome. I don't know his final minutes in that game, but halfway through, Keith had already logged over 17 minutes of ice time.

Isn't Hagel light, like 165 lbs?
- LAHawk

The roster for prospect camp lists Hagel at 6'1" and 169. Slight frame but he's a bulldog out on the ice. Not Shaw-like but persistent with puck pursuit and tenacious in battles for the puck.

All I know is Rockford is gonna be STACKED next year with talented young players on both ends which is exciting to see considering how bare the farm has been for us. We'll see some legit competition with the guys there fighting for playing time and trying to show that they deserve to be at the NHL level
- Savetheembers33

Definitely a deeper and more talented pool of prospects in Rockford this season. There is still some dead weight on the roster like Knott, Noel, and Fortin. The Blackhawks know what they have (or really don't have) in these prospects and so they're essentially taking spots away from new prospects, particularly those with more potential to be impact players.

But will the Hawks extend Saad after the 20/21 season or move on from him and free up those $$$$$$M for younger players?

Tyler, this could be a subject for a future blog after the first of the year. IF (with capital letters) for whatever reason (injuries to key players, the overall strength of the Central division/Western conference, players not adapting to the system or the system sucks etc) the Hawks are out of playoff contention at the TDL, what deals do they make?

Move Gus?
Move Anismov if still on the team at that time?
Move Saad before his NTC kicks in? (Yeah, I know... Saad good power forward, plays a 200 foot game, valuable on the PK, don't have anyone to replace him, reasonable contract, just the player you need in the playoffs, except if this scenario occurs the Hawks would be missing the post season for the 3rd year in a row with Saad back on the team.)

- boilermaker100

Nice. Ya I could put something together like that.
