It would be nice to get off to a hot start this year, I'm pretty confident in this group as long as Provy and Ghost don't replicate last season.

Any noise from Werenski or Macavoy camps?

Going forward, what teams are in trouble in the Metro and why?

Columbus, can they replace the star power and a goalie? Doubtful
Pitt, how long can Crosby/Malkin carry a weak supporting cast and D is atrocious
Carolina / Islanders goaltending is a question
Others are in decent shape for the near future.

I read that the Jackets are going to count on their prospects, if that is true, I agree they are in trouble.

Agree on Pens, I pause because everytime I think they are in deep shxt they pull a rabbit out of the hat. With all the bad moves, not sure how they will still be a top end team

jackets top 7/8 and top 3 dmen aren't actually that bad. But the huge question mark is how the rest of the team will be able to carry the load. We all have seen what its like to put too much pressure on your good forwards and dmen, especially when goaltending is the biggest question mark of them all.

Good question. I can only guess that if Fletcher is indeed President and GM, then he will have his eyes on the business side more and maybe base more personnel decisions based on that, but that is only a guess.

Adios. I'd present him with a framed copy of MacDonald's contract as a parting gift.

It means there's no longer a buffer between Scott and Fletch.

Why are people upset? Everyone supposedly hated Holmgren and now he's out of the way people have an issue with it. Holmgren was a great GM, everyone has bad signings.

So he's not president but he is taking on an advisory role? So he's still with the team? Getting paid? Maybe I comprehend at a 5th grade level?
