Me too. I like him a lot more than I like Johansson and he got $4.5.

Canes had a few extra bucks from their savings on Aho.

Good deal for the Canes on Dzingel. I'm surprised he didnt get more term somewhere.
- Aaron_85

He might have wanted a short term deal. New TV deal in 2 years will raise the cap significantly. By then Sportsnet and the fan will have hired Simmonds and Berger to replace Friedman and Johnston

Yeah, Sportsnet will need a lot more cash to land those two.

Likely 1989. Spoiler Alert: The Flames beat the Habs and won the Cup..
- PatC80

First time the Stanley Cup was ever awarded to the visiting team in the Habs’ arena.

Pretty amazing stat.

So there is a petition to raid Area 51 and 300-400 thousand people have signed it already.

From what I read everyone is going to do the Naruto run as they charge towards it.

This is literally the best thing I've read in a while, although I'm positive it won't happen. Just imagining that many people doing that is (frank)ing amazing.

I love the internet.

the first year I started to pay attention to hockey was the 1987 cup final, (edm/Philly), but the series that started me off as a Hockey fan for reals was the '89 final. I was a Flames fan for a little while
- senstroll

That era was insane, with Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver facing each other in early rounds. The hockey was soooooo good.

Agree, the .727 winning percentage in Stanley Cup Finals is also an incredible stat. Toronto is second at .619 of the Original Six. Sorry Rick, Bruins are last with a winning percentage of .300

Gives me hope for Gards.

Teams are getting smarter...Guys with question marks are getting less.

Of course unless you are Vancouver.

Would we sign Gards to 4.5x2

Makes sense.

Gives Sandin an extra year to develop on the 3rd pairing.

I think it’s a real possibility depending on what marner gets.

Spurgeon already going to be 30 years old when he hits UFA after this upcoming season? I thought he was a little younger than that. Time flies..

I agree, but would there have to be another player dropped to fit Mitch in at say $10.5?

They just flashed this on the TV:

Roger Federer is 90-4 at Wimbledon when winning the 1st set.

Holy poop.

Remarkable
The guy he's playing is pretty amazing too. 12 French Opens is not too shabby.
