He wasn't standing up for his teammates.
What he did was incredibly selfish.
Standing up for your teammates is being a big boy, not throwing a petulant temper tantrum, and being on the ice for the remaining games of the series.
He had to go. - Atomic Wedgie

I don't think he comes at Debrusk if Debrusk doesn't take a run at Marleau. I see that as standing up for him. Stupid way to do it, no doubt, with a reprehensible consequence. But I don't hate the guy for it, and wish him nothing but the best in Colorado. |

I don't think he goes after DeBrusk, if DeBrusk got called for that knee on knee hit.
Still, he should have known better. |

And as an added bonus, he got the leafs a better trade in the end. Good guy Kadri. - GreatGigInTheSky
That poop is bananas.
Brodie + Jankowski or Barrie + Kerfoot.
While Kerfoot and Jankowski are not that dissimilar in their performance results, Barrie vs. Brodie is pretty one-sided in favour of Barrie. Obviously any advanced stats never have that, "Idiotic Plays" metric, so we'll see. I had thought Brodie had more defensive upside to his game, but there's nothing really in his numbers that corroborate that.

I like Kadri. And I respect that he took a metric crapton of criticism early in his career and he played through it. I hope he finds success in Colorado, but not enough to make us look bad.
Honestly, I think he was mad that the knee against him wasn't called. DeBrusk hitting Marleau was a tipping point. I think, though, that it was more of an excuse.
We all know or have known that guy who gets into a rage spiral, and nothing brings them out of it. They're just seething and roiling inside, and something's going to go off at some point . . . Hell, I've played hockey with guys like that, and they never finish out the season. I don't know if that's Kadri or not, but it describes his play in at least 2 games.
Realistically, if he was doing the right thing, he drops his gloves and calls out DeBrusk. |

Too hot. No thanks.
Puerto Vallarta is our go-to spot.
It's 30 degrees and sunny - every franking day.
We've taken 6 1-week vacations there over the years.
Honest to goodness, for the 6 weeks we have been there, there hasn't been more than an hour of rain. |

This was our 2nd time in Varadero. Pretty much the same, it would rain hard for about 10-15 minutes a day. |

Agreed...it was nice to see Ferland's numbers come back to reality as well. The numbers being thrown out for his next contract around the trade deadline was bananas. |

I just took a horrible hangover dump in the washroom.
As I was coming out, the cleaning staff was going in.
I probably should have apologized. |
