Of course, Tampa would have to take back contract like Gologoski (since the Hawks would take Stepan...TB can take Gologoski to replace Hedman)

They can then trade Demers to PITT who need D help...and maybe reluctantly give Soderberg to replace Crosby at C. Then Malkin will have his own team in Pitt

First off, I was entertained by the article...which is why people come to the website.

Clearly the Hawks aren’t trading Kane. With Kane they are a fringe playoff team. They didn’t miss the playoffs by that much last year.

Without Kane, they are one of the worst teams in the league.

The hawks do need to retool and move some of those awful contracts. But they would take the Marleau approach and trade Seab + 1st Rounder to a team that can buy him out.
