I like Beau, I would consider on trying a 5yr deal around $2-2.5m per and take the chance of him be more productive moving forward on a cheap term.
If he doesnt pan out, its still a moveable contract on a young player, win/win all around |

I like the kid and would love to see him succeed. The team needs him to step up. However, I would not sign him longer than 3 yrs and a cap friendly number. They need flexibility and until he shows consistency that's what I would do. |

Whats up with the Boeser rumour? Wouldn't mind him on the right side of Lee and Barzal. |

Beau is a young player who was required to learn a new system........one that required him to take on defensive responsibilities for the first time in his NHL career. He was +1 which is not spectacular, but is better than Eberle's - and Barzal's - . And he played a fair amount in the bottom 6, and received virtually no PP time. Under those circumstances, 18 goals is not terrible.
So while I am a little less concerned than Ben, I think Ben's suggested salary numbers/term are reasonable. |

I like Beau, he impressed me this year. The numbers weren't there, but they'll come I believe. He works hard, skates hard...the results will come...I hope 😉 |

I agree with you 100% JS.
Beaus camp isn’t signing a 5 year deal for 2 to 2.5 but 1 or 2 years probs. Might be 1 year at 3 mil.
