Tyler Seguin was supposedly a bad apple also. - LAHawk
you think the Bruins launched him w/o a reason ?
I think it was the playoff run, and his lack of 24 commitment during that period.
The kid got a wake up call.
I question if Drouin has actually solidified his game,
53 points minus eight....but teams will find a way to let things go with the scorers...
I am gonna try and put myself in Nylander's skates...clearly he knows the Sabres know the Hawks know that this is all about him bringing commitment and suceeding by his own merits, not a Chicago gift forward slot based on the things he does do well, move around handle and shoot the puck...it is gonna take more and it were me< I would figure that I need to do better, that my brother stepped up and was handed a crazy 7 million, so I better try and get somer too... |

Seguin would likely not be the player he is today without that move imo |

Let me just go on the record as saying that no one on this board knows anything about Alex Nylander, his family, his work ethic, his path through the Sabre's organization.
Quit listening to people on a public hockey board who claim to know anything about any of those subjects, because they don't.
Wait for camp, wait for the preseason, watch him play, then make your own informed decision about what he is or isn't.
It reminds when people talk about who won the draft before a guy has even played a minute, a down, or a period. - vabeachbear

Alright let’s set something straight right now:
Any projected lineup with Kampf at 3C is NOT an acceptable lineup. Kampf is not a legit 3C. We need to be stronger down the middle and have 3 potent scoring lines. Dach needs to get a serious look at 2/3C and if it doesn’t work out Shaw will have to be that guy like he was in 2013. - SimpleJack
Agreed. Dach is going to get every chance to make the team and be the 3C. Saad-Dach-Shaw could be the best 3rd line they've had since 2015..... |

Under. I think they'll be around 67 points, Stan and JC will be fired by Christmas. |

Look on the bright side, at least they'll be slightly better than the 17/18 Sabres. |

Sounds good, they can draft Alexis Lafrieniere and win the Cup in 2022 |

Except by then Stan will have traded away Boqvist, Beaudin, Dach and Mitchell. We all know if doesn't like to hang onto the team's top prospects. |

It's true they should just trade Kane to Yotes, hope we don't have to retain any salary |

I see that Dach, Entwistle, Kurashev, Hagel and Johnson are joining up to play in the Chicago Public Hockey League (Wednesday nights).
Dach and Entwistle will join Boqvist and Beaudin on "Team Warrior" which also includes other pro players like Bollig, Clendening, Pirri and Turcotte is also on that team.
Kurashev, Hagel and Johnson will join Vlassic on the "Chem Station" team which also includes Dzingel, Hartman and Jake McCabe.
The other two "pro league" teams have Toews, Kane, DeBrincat, Strome, and Murphy from the Hawks and a bunch of other NHL players.
It's good to see many of our top prospects sticking around town to play in this league. |

Which is why it was moronic to trade AA and not get a top 9 center back.
However with JCs love for Kampf, I can definitely see him playing him well over his head at 3C with his 4g per year dominance
Ugh
If Dach gets sent back down (which he probably should for a few reasons)....then I'm sure its Kampf getting the first crack at 3C which is beyond pathetic

84 points last year, so I'd agree will be between 92-100 points this year - EnzoD
Ok...if we were at 84 last year then I would feel comfortable taking that over 90.5...unless our opponents got that much better but I don't think it is that drastic |

I like Kampf but he should be centering the shutdown line no matter what number it is deemed. Smith isn't an answer there, either. I much prefer Shaw on the wing because that is where you can get the best value for him. However, he can be the 3C before Kampf and Smith. |

I love it that Wheeler is willing to go out on a limb with these dumb lists especially after a major league organization deems Kirby Dach worthy of drafting in front #6 and #8.
And then there is Craig Button who is convinced Boqvist, Michell and company are all lesser lights than Bowen Byram ... - wiz1901we should all be depressed at the state of our affairs here in Chicago.
Why is Alex Turcotte ranked #6? Every scouting report I read had him as a really solid 2-way center. Low end #1 center or a really good #2 center.
I didn't read anything about him saying he had elite skills. Looks like a list just thrown together out of someones backside. |

See I don't get this... some posters have Sikura penciled in as 3rd line or 2nd line guy. He didn't score last year. To me Kampf at 3C is as bad as saying Sikura will be 3LW or 3RW. I don't want either of them near my 3rd line. |

Shaw at 3C seems like an emergency back-up plan. I really have to think the Hawks are going to let Dach have every opportunity to take over at 3C and be a 3rd scoring line.
Kampf just doesn't have the offensive skill/play making to be a 3C that can put up solid points. Agree with you 100% that Shaw's best use is at wing where he can play a his style. He doesn't need the extra wear and tear from playing center too.
Its good to have him back. Really none of the core guys have that snarl/edge anymore. Maybe Keith sometimes. Don't see any of it from Seabs. |

At the moment, with not knowing who is going to lineup with Toews/Kane on Line 1, Dcat/Strome on line 2 or who 3C will be, I am guessing under- think we end up just shy of 90.
