"Mcdavid is so good he can play First and Second line."

If he can handle the minutes, why wouldnt you play him there?

Pretty sure Neal was not getting along with Peters.

Not many options for getting rid of the contract. I fully expect Neal to rebound though.

Riley Sheahan would be a nice option for bottom 6 centre depth.

I think Jurco makes this roster over Colby Cave. Gambo is another guy I could see force his way in.

On defense I don't expect to see Bouchard. Jones is most likely. Maybe even Persson or Bear. They'll show more patience with Bouchard since he's too important.

what about benson? does he not make the team this year in a bottom six role?

This is just a first look. I fully expect this to look different one month from now and even more different once we are in training camp.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm about to try a drink called an Alligator.

Honestly, why does he come off the ice? Kovalev and Jagr used to weave figure-eights inside the offensive zone blueline and that was their rest.

I'd still have Bouchard play a season in BAK. Ken Hollands MO is not to rush players.

Bouchard would definitely probably have greater ceiling getting some experience from Jay Woodcroft in BAK.

One year deal for brian Boyle would be solid..he has 10-15 goal potential...getting rid of lucic was a dream come true without losing a first rounder or Jesse...getting Neal killed two birds with one stone for a top six goal scorer...

With Rangers, Knights and Penquins at the cap ceiling I'm thinking they would take Puljujarvi and clear space. Who knows... Maybe Strome comes back to Edmonton.

I think they will try Nygard with McDavid if only to test the speed. The guy is fast as flash, not sure if he can be productive though.

The only way I can see Bouchard making the jump this year is if injuries wreck the blueline

Doesn't make a lot of sense to try it before giving the McDuo-Kassian line a chance to continue their near-60% goal share from the 2nd half of last year. Better to give him the chance alongside Nuge-Neal so there's enough speed and two-way ability on the line to make up for Neal's defensive shortcomings. Sign Lindberg and trade Puljujarvi for Wood:

Draisailt- McDavid- Kassian
Nygard/Benson- Nuge- Neal
Wood- Lindberg- Archibald
Granlund- Khaira- Chiasson

Lindberg as 3C? Doesn’t he top out as a 4C?

Anyone else think a Zacha for Pulju trade could be an interesting solution to the 3C?
