What's sad is the amount of effort Calgary had to go through to get him to accept a trade to the Flames. What makes it worse is the knowing how bad he wanted out of Edmonton and still had to be convinced to waive.

Actually, this is something I respect about Lucic. He was an Oiler for 3 years and tried to be a good teammate, and the Flames were the enemy. So after being invested like that a very reasonable initial reaction would be, "You want me to go where??? H E L L NO!". Now that he has thought it through and switched sides I expect him to bring that team first single-mindedness to Calgary.
Contrast that with the ironically named "Real Deal" who reportedly ASKED to be traded to the Flames' arch rivals! Shock this guy is now on team #7, or whatever... Good riddance! Only thing is how bad it will suck when he comes back and scores a hattrick against us on his first trip back!
