Not really interesting. - Cptmjl
I'd rather see Otto get a shot over signing Boyle. Isles have to start using more young talent. |

One year for Boyle would be fine. I wonder if Wahlstrom will need a half season or the entire season in Bridge? Wahlstrom does not seem to have a spot in the top 6 and it might take a trade of Bailey next year. |

How’s Otto on FOs Dan? The couple times I saw him at BP he wasn’t that good.
The Isles really need a clutch FO Guy and Boyle would be better than every Center they have. Probs wouldn’t be a bad add honestly |

I gotta think if any of our prospects make this team (if Lou basically doesn't make any more moves which I don't think is the case). Then the one slot open will be filled by one of our prospect wings.... Whalstrom, Bellows, Ho Sang, etc. If any Center makes the team my bet would be Fritz on the 4th line and moving up 20 goal scorer casey to 3c. ... We do have an awful lot of high end talent that will be competeing for a roster spot and as long as we don't sign a PTO kind of player it will be fun to watch.
What's everyone's guess as far as line combos?
me
Lee/MB/Ebs
Beauv/Brock/Bailey
MDC/Casey/ Ho Sang or Whalstrom(this should go over well)
MM/ Fritz/ Leo |

I'd love a 3rd line built around Casey and MDC and I would be fine giving JHS one more shot on that 3rd line. |

As of today, I don't see any way it isn't:
Lee-Barzal-Eberle
Beau-Nelson-Bailey
MDC-Casey-Komarov

Going to take playing another lousy defensive team like the Pens to win a round with this roster. |

I am under the impression he is going to be out a while when the season starts. Is that not the case? |

He may be ready to start the season. This tweet is almost 2 months old, but I haven't seen any updates.

In May the word was 4-6 months. If it's 4, he'll be skating in training camp and will probably start the season. Could obviously be on the long-side of that as well, which would mean he'd miss some time. I'm just assuming best-case scenario for now, until we hear otherwise.
I still they think they ultimately sign a bottom-six center, in which case I would assume Fritz would fill the vacant 4RW slot if Clutterbuck does indeed have to miss a significant portion of time to start the year.
I think there is a zero percent chance Wahlstrom makes the team out of camp and I'm pretty much over Ho Sang. Maybe he surprises and makes me look stupid, but we're now on what...two consecutive camps where he's been an early-cut and is now 23 years old? I'm not penciling him in for a roster spot no matter who's out.
In fact, I'm not really penciling Josh in for anything other than being an AHL player who's a fringe call-up if there are a few injuries. If Wahlstrom's development gets back on track, and I'm confident it will, I expect him to pass Ho Sang on the depth chart in relatively little time. |
