Unrelated and 4+ years old, but apparently Frank "The Animal" Bialowas was arrested for shoplifting at Home Depot:
According to a report in The Daily Journal, Frank "The Animal" Bialowas was charged with shoplifting in Vineland, NJ this week after he was reportedly observed concealing a $54 dimmer switch, “to avoid paying for it.”
I mean, at least he was straight up about what he was doing and why. |

I like his game but his numbers aren't eye popping, what a weird contract. I'm surprised at both sides. |

Part of me is like, wow, I would love to make 2.8 million a year for 7 years playing hockey. Its just such a low cap hit for such a long term. Its like one of those 80's superstar contracts lol

Haha true, you really don't see these given out. He's about to be 26, feisty smaller player, I think this was a great deal for him. What's his ceiling? 20 goal guy? He just got himself 7 years, good for him. |

After 3 seasons a guy is signing his first contract? - MJL
I didn't know that they play for free for the first few years. That is very nice of them. That's a REAL hometown discount. |

Can someone explain the thinking behind TML trading for Clarkson? Yeah, they shed Sparks (who they could just bury) for Clarkson (who will go to LTIR if needed) and a 4th. However, they're now into their summer overage, as there is not LTIR during the summer. So, if my math is correct, their max. allowable limit is 89.65M (81.5M x 1.1) and their current cap hit is $82,234,699. That leaves them with $7,415,301 to add to their roster.
Barring any moves, how in the hell are they supposed to resign Marner this summer with less than $8M in space? Yes, they could do it on day 1 of the season, but why would Marner do camp/preseason and risk injury without a contract? |

There absolutely is LTIR during the Summer.
