Probably it will be LE. I don't see them wanting to mess with depth to start the season in moving out Sutter or Sven for futures. - NuckUp
If they move LEs contract without holding back much they could then try to add Gardiner in FA too |

There must be a reason Gardiner hasn’t been signed by any team, does he expect a large payday with a long term? |

some jerks, good one....again.
If he does have recurring back issues I hope Benning stays well clear. |

I'd normally say TO will do what it always does but I think kadri has been the reason for their colapses. - SMBDragon
By his absence. Two boneheaded plays but if they weren't relying on him to be their pushback then he probably helps them advance both years. |

Didn't he by signing Edler and Myers instead. Besides there isn't enough cap space left they need it for BB. |

Sure explains no one going after him including TO.
If it goes long enough maybe it means getting him cheap |

And Goldy. - Marwood
At this point they would have to get creative in paper moving players to fit both.
Though Goldy seems to be a question mark. He should be taking the qualifying offer. What is he holding out for? Does he fit into roster? Is he going to be moved along with LE? |

Currently 24 players 5m cap left
Say BB signs for 7m Goldy 1m for 8m total
26 players on the roster has us 3m over
3m LTIR from Roussel puts us at the ceiling
2 (Schaller/Biega) sent to Utica is another 2m cap room for flexibility when Roussel rejoins after 1/3 of the season is done. Cap space is all spoken for. Someone would then need to clear waivers barring no injuries. |

Unless canucks management has informed him they intend to work out a new contract with him he should accept the qualifying offer. He's risking being pushed out |

Gardiner and his agent are waiting to see what Hutton signs for.

This 3 teams in each division and 2 wildcards has to end. PLEASE go back to old way of 1v8, 2v7, 3v6, and 4v5. |

Definitely not getting a 22 y/o top line 30 goal scorer for that package

I will vote to stay the way it is because of the less travel in the early rounds. |

I wonder with as many high ranked RFAs not receiving an offer sheet if there is some collusion going on. Surely someone could have offered 10.1 mil (2 firsts a second and third)
I know the Habs did one ,a weak offer, but there was potential for so much more. |

It's a horrible system. There has been talk of going back to 1 vs 8 etc at the next GM meeting but who knows. It's all about who Bettman wants in the PO's in collusion with Vegas. |

If its a Jets cap issue then why take on more cap back in trade? Plus if we gave them futures or prospects like Podkolozin, Tryamkin that doesn't effect their cap the Canucks then would have to move players to fit him into cap.

yeah for sure, but i think thats more because of bad juju, as per every other year
the real collusion is what the rfa contracts actually look like. both sides playing it hard. this summer's going to have a lasting impact on these type of deals moving forward. no one wants to get it wrong.
its been building since mcdavid and matthews signed. then nylander was an eye opener. now marner and friends.
