My favorite Potvin quote was when he was asked about playing at Madison Square garden and hearing the Ranger fans chanting Potvin $ucks. With a complete straight face, he looked at the camera and said....."no, they're saying Potvin's Cups." Classic!

I don’t know this other guy but I’ll miss Potvin. He was a bit of a homer for the Cats but I enjoyed his passion, his insight, and his commentary

Denis Potvin was great from the first time he put on a New York Islander jersey and won 4 Stanley Cups till he retired. Truly one the best all time Greats in NHL history. He came to Long Island a boy and left a man 😎

lollol, he mentioned that's what was really being said during a few Panther games at NY. All these years later and they still do the chant at MSG.

For me the 3 best D men of all time - Orr.. No kidding Really - Big Bird and Denis..

Always enjoyed him on the telecasts on center ice.

Woohoo thank god. This dude was such a homer I would mute Leaf telecasts. Randy Moller isn't any better though and Bill Lindsay is horrible. I rate the Panther announcers #2 on the overall worst list right behind the Boston announcers.

Closely following in 3rd is the CBC crew that usually calls Leaf games.

My top are the Blues, Capitals and Vegas.

He was so monotone, man, good d but having him work games was a terrible idea.
