I was a little surprised at how much $$$$ they gave to Stralman

he's clearly been on the decline and isnt getting any younger

I thought 3 years 4 million a year would have been sufficient

Hey Jimbo,

I agree that the $5.5 M a year is kind of rough.

His age (33) and style of play is one of the reasons I was saying that he shouldn't be expected to be this "savior" of the Panthers defense, you know.

I'm stoked for Bob's signing because I think this team is much closer than many realize to being a serious threat to challenge for a Cup. The time is now for them to realize that potential.
Bob's contract term is a little scary, but we watched Lu play at a very high level until 37 or so. Bob seems like a freak when it comes exercise and caring for his body. Apparently he focuses very much on his flexibility, which (imo) is the main key to a goalie's longevity.
I also really like FL signing Acciari, what he brings will be a welcome addition to the Panthers lineup.
