Hey Bill, just to follow this trend on a night where the talk is all about the Eagles, how about Garry Galley? I always liked his play back in the early 90's, it was right about the time I can actually remember games and recall starting being a fan ( I was 5 in '91)

Garry Galley!

I'm in the same boat, started watching in 92, became a "fan" by 93 (I was only 10). Back then, Galleyu and Yuskevich were out 2 best defensemen. Not knowing anything else, I just assumed that all teams had top-end defensemen like them. Then we got Desjardins, and a light bulb went off showing me what I'd been missing. I mean, Galley did put up 70 points one season, but Desjardins was just in another class.

To piggyback off Bill, I was looking at the rosters and former Flyers Justin Williams and Dennis Seidenberg were on rosters. Justin Williams might be in my top 5 favorite players that never played for my team. Might be the most clutch player this century.

unfortunately I became a fan in what I like to call the dark ages for the Flyers in the early 90's, but luckily for me help wasn't far away and it was truly awesome to see the Legion of Doom from it's onset to its (unfortunate) conclusion.

Those 89-92 teams were bad (really bad), but once Lindros showed up, you could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Once they got Renberg then LeClair, it was good times.

Gary Galley does color analysis for Canadian broadcasts. He’s got a real nice angry coach tells-it-like-it-is call IMO.
