If they dont pan out then signing Panarin was really for nothing then! All he will do is quite possibly take us out of the lottery position - Brukie
So you want to live in a constant state of rebuild and hope and wait for our prospects to pan out. Then once they do we have to hope and pray a top 10 free agent is there. Just trying to understand.
I would much rather let our prospects grow and progress playing with a top 10 talent

I think prospects have a much better chance of succeeding if they are playing with great players, but that's just me

me too, never been injured, he's only thrown 98 hits in his 4 years
basically he's like a 4 year old Porsche that's only been used to drive back and forth to the supermarket at this point - jimbo83
He plays a style of game that will age well too. There's a reason why guys like Joe and Pavelski can play until they are 90. You just set up shop and do playmaking, you can do that until you are 100. Guys like Krieder on the other hand will probably fall off a cliff by 30.

Martin St Louis too, he was same age as Panarin after 4 NHL seasons
I am not even the slightest bit worried that Panarin won't still be an elite player at 33 and 34 years old.

And the worst case if he starts to decline a little at 33, he only has a year or 2 left on the deal at that point. So it wouldn't be the end of the world. Well I guess it would be to some.

I agree but..... St Louis was a beast. His training regiment was sick, prob still is. - tbreinold
We don't know that Panarin doesn't have a insane training regimen. I think it's more the style of play. Kind of dangerous calling guys like St Louis and Panarin perimiter players, but they for sure are not power forwards. As long as you don't get dinged, you can keep that up for pretty long, especially for wingers.
I have no reason why people aren't excited for the fact he is on the team now. If he maintains anything close to his current pace, he's a slam dunk hall of famer.
Nah one of the Ranger players last year hobby was collecting magnets. The players had to guess who it was in one of those behind the bench type interviews
