Agree with this post. Bickell played 3LW (and in a more defensive roll), because Sharp and Saad played top 6. Bickell was starting to put it all together, as sometimes power forward needs some extra development time. Here is the line combinations for that 2013 Boston game 6, "17 seconds"
BIckell - Toews - Kane
Sharp - Handzus - Hossa
Saad - Shaw - Stalberg
Kruger - Bolland - Frolik - LAHawk
This team would never win the Cup, they wouldn't even be a playoff team. |

Also in Tyler's blog , he mentioned that Toews and Kane are ADB and Strome are givens. With the history of Shaw and Saad together having chemistry, I think the third line should be Saad, Shaw and xxx. Need to fill one spot on each of the three lines. |

Amazing that with Bickell's great performance that whole playoffs, in the finals he only scored that one goal. |

So many faces tht I miss. That 4th line especially. I loved Bolland & Frolik. They formed such a whoop ass line. |

Double shift Sikura on lines 1 & 2....problem solved. - Beaver-Warrior
Is it spot on that Sikura will secure a spot on the team? |

I said everything you said last week and was told I was stupid Toews will be great to the end of his contract. What comes round goes round. - rpeters01
Hey guy your barking up the wrong tree here. If what your claiming to be true, I for one would not have shot you down. Here's my take on toews , he received his big pay day and went MIA with everyone making excuses for him as well as him. So on his 8 year contract year 4 he finally lives up to his 10.5 million dollar a year payday.
At 31 I wouldn't hold my breathe that toews will be the same player he was 5 or 8 years ago, he is most likely going to underperform.
Now with that said I'm not personally attacking him, just his performance for what he is being paid. We can argue semantics and say that's Stans fault he offered that to him, but their was a time where toews produced and his new contract was offered when he was 26 years old still young. |

Who is arguing? Simply pointing out that your (incorret, imo) thoughts on Bickell during the Cup years are opinions, not facts. Are you 14? Or 15? - mohel
No your laying out any facts. Your basing your point on emotion and not on any solid facts I laid out.
Bickell played 395 career games total points 136 that's very pathetic and weak on your argument that Bickell was anything more than a bottom 6 player who played mostly 4th line,
Bickell was traded 2 years after his one and done career playoff run.
From your argument I have to believe your a immature toddler throwing a temper tantrum

Would that really be a bad thing. Signing Perlini is risky even if Stan signs him for 1 million. Perlini has everything coaches dream of having in a player but the kid hasn't taken advantage like strome of a fresh start and was MIA.

You and Vlady Putin have more offence than Kruger.
I wasnt comparing Kurashev to Kruger; I just think he can do some of the things as a young player that Kruger did - PK, selective faceoffs etc. That of course will be after Colliton concludes that Ryan Carpenter and a few other off season signings are stiffs and they are no reason to hold back Kurashev. - RickJ
Ah. You and I are in agreement about Kurashev. I read all the reports on him and then I watched him play a game. Either the kid took what was being said about him to heart or people were way off on their assessment of him. I saw none of the negatives about him. Primarily that he coasted on defense. I saw a puck hound with some very nice nice offensive skills. Much like Danault, I become a fan of his instantly. Further viewing did nothing to dissuade me from thinking the Hawks got themselves a steal in the 4th round.

Nope. He is gonna have to have a vg training camp and pre-season to make the team is my guess. For one, he has waiver options some others don't. |

Did he just not have the numbers in the lower leagues? Why did he last so long in the draft? |

Why would signing him for 1m or less be risky? That amount could be buried in Rockford if he doesn’t get claimed |

Wow .Hockey is all about emotion .And Bicks had a lot of it .Points are not everything .Bickel may not of scored a lot ,but he got some big ones . He could also flatten players when needed . Bickel played through a lot more then most, and was dam good . Bickel was a lot more then one and done .. |
