Lenny lives in Portland, Maine. Remains close friends with several former Mariners and Flyers teammates who still live there.
Can check on Moore. Think he is up in Portland, too, but not positive. |

How do players get involved in the alumni? open to any former player? do they ask or do they have to be asked? |

My thoughts on Gostisbehere/Morin from old thread.
Today @ 8:37 AM ET
I've been saying for a while that I'm pretty confident we'll see a nice turnaround season from #53. I still don't like the log jam of defenseman as I think Morin is ready to step in and be a regular NHL contributor. He's got great mobility and range for his size and brings a nasty edge the Flyers sorely need with the departures of both Simmonds and Radko. I also can see Morin being a rock on the PK as he develops and rounds his game out.
Giroux is a whale of a player. I think he's got at least 4 more seasons of all-star calibre play to give yet as well. |

I can juggle just fine. Just never tried to read anything while doing it. That is quite impressive.
I've noticed Hart does a lot of crazy hand eye stuff. Remember when they caught him squirting water drops in the air and he was tracking them to the ice during a break in game action?
I wonder what else he does/can do?

Well, he did chicken out against fighting Dubnyk, so I think we can agree that he'll never be a real Flyer. |

Maybe the Flyers should look into moving Morin or Hagg for Puljajvari. Both could easily break their top 6 defenders. And one will not make the Flyers as a regular. Puljajvari Would slot in nicely on the 3rd line. ***Let me edit by saying I'm sure there would be picks going back the other way depending if its Morin or Hagg.

At what point is Puljujarvi a bust? He's been given every opportunity to succeed, has all the physical tools, but just can't get it done at the NHL level (to date). Granted, he's only 21, and he's been stuck in hell Edmonton, but the guy has done nothing to warrant a roster spot in the NHL so far. 37 points in 139 games doesn't scream middle-6 winger to me.
I'm not saying he definitely is a bust, but how much longer until he becomes one? |

It’s Carter Hart’s world, we’re just lucky to live in it - BiggE
Fun facts:
- The guy already has the NHL MVP Trophy named after him.
- He won a staring contest against Chuck Norris. This resulted in the Mount St. Helen's explosion.
- Every time he makes a stick save, 10 European supermodels reach climax.
- He has never lost a game, he simply allows other goalies to win out of pity. |

The real reason Carter Hart is going for five is that he wants to follow in Jon Dorebos' footsteps and be a finalist on America's Got Talent.
Last year on the power play, Ghost wasn't getting his shots on net. I don't know whether he was pressured more, that he was trying to hit the corners too much, or if he was just squeezing his stick too hard. I am sure the team has looked at it ad nauseam. They have great net front presence. The chaos created in front from a rebound or partially blocked shot works to the team's advantage. |

I think part of it falls to Jake, or at least the coaches working with him. He is so hesitant to shoot that the defenders can cheat to Giroux/Ghost and just cut off the passing lanes. If they give him space, he needs to drive the net and fire the thing. The more willing he is to shoot on the PP, the less people can cheat to Ghost/Giroux, the more time they'll have to fire.
I'm not giving excuses for Ghost, he needs to adapt and work through it. I just think that's one of the reasons for his PP troubles . |

What evidence is there that Puljujarvi would slot in nicely on the 3rd line? Or anywhere in the NHL for that matter? |

Precisely why I want to separate Jake and G on the PP. They're essentially the same playmaker role on the PP just from opposite sides of the attack. By placing a regular high slot shooting threat as well as an additional point shot (not just Ghost) opens the Flyers up to more options and keeps the opposition from studying film and shutting down the Ghost blast and the Giroux cross seam pass. |

I haven't looked at his shot attempts stats, but my eye test told me other teams were game planning a lot more to prevent him from getting those one timers from the point/high slot. So he was missing the net, not taking the shot, having it blocked because the defenders had someone in the way.
Hopefully they can adjust in some way to get him more open looks. |

Shouldn't separate them. Voracek simply has to shoot more. That simple. |

I do think a previous poster made a good point about Jake. He rarely shoots and the opponents know it so they just play off of him and try to break up the pass.
He needs to take the puck to the net more often and aggressively. If he does that it will open up lanes to G and Ghost for one timers with lots of moving parts in front of the net
Taking the occasional one timer himself would help as well |

Flyers have the 4th ranked farm system according to the NHL Network. I believe they were third or fourth last year and they had NYR and NJ, one and two respectively. It looks like they were basing the ranking on the strength of the top 5 prospects, but I feel the Flyers have better depth than most that made the list. Still a good sign for the team going forward and good to see that both Frost and Farabee are 1 and 2. |

I don't want to separate them, as Jake should be able to thrive on the PP. Just needs to be more willing to shoot. Get the puck and, if there's no pressure, take two hard strides to the net and let it rip. |
