I don't think someone like Horvat is in awe of EP's maturity. That's a fans perspective. He's not as mature as Horvat was as a 20 year old. EP has a maturity issue with the media. Horvat has been professional with NHL media since he came in at 18/19.

I'd be willing to bet instead of awe of his maturity, Horvat actually sat him down and gave him advice on how to present himself as a mature leader after several funny but immature moments with the press.

Petey is the leader of this team. I loved that he told managment last year to go out and get some top 6 players. That is who I am placing my money on as the next captain.

The Chicago Blackhawks have brought in some more defensive depth, signing Philip Holm to a one-year, two-way contract. The deal will pay Holm $700K at the NHL level and brings him back to North America after one year in the KHL.

I also wonder about what they team plan is 2-3 years down the road. I don't know enough about Miller and his play making , but what I hear is he would be pretty good .

My opinion is the longer they go not giving Bo the C the more I doubt he gets it. If he is not wearing the C opening night then I don't think they are giving it to him
