Jesse's articles are great. Although I wish it wasn't behind a paywall, I'm glad he's getting some more money for his efforts.

Agree on RW. His stuff was really good a couple years ago and every now and again he pulls it out. He just doesn't have the same passion for his blog he used to. Oh well, it's just hockeybuzz.

On occasion I’ve wondered what these discussions would be like if we were all at a local restaurant or something. Just sipping on drinks and eating nachos and burgers and stuff, talking about the Pens. I imagine with Grinder’s death sentence statements for Simon he probably would’ve stopped receiving invites 😬 but aside from that I’d like to think we could all enjoy the game together

Sheary s last two seasons were around 30-35 points which, one in Pit and one on Buf. Probably more in line with where he should be scoring as opposed to the 50ish points a few years ago.

Skews the figures to use the Kunitz seasons where he was aging and getting moved around, doesn’t it? If you exclude his last 3 seasons where he was in his mid 30’s his PPG in Pitt was 0.81x. As an Anaheim Duck he was 0.64x. That 0.17x difference over the course of a season is 14 points per season. His TOI and PP usage also got cut. I’d be curious what his ES pts/60 was in those time periods

I missed a healthcare discussion? Only thing I’ve seen on healthcare lately was the old lady telling Kampala Harris not to change her insurance. As you may know, elderly people on fixed incomes are the most at risk for healthcare changes
