I absolutely agree with you regarding the Habs, let’s just get the best we can and not worry about what language they speak as long as they can communicate within the organization. Remember Louis LeBlanc...

What was Montreal about? Just because English & French are our two official languages doesn't mean that we're all bilingual!!

So true about that 3rd Jersey.

I miss the one from the '01 - '07 era.

That third jersey is designed for the internet edgelords of the fanbase

I don't hate it as much as I hate the current home jerseys, though. If they could just reverse the colours on the home jersey (navy blue base), keep the away jerseys the same and bring the 80s blue back for a 3rd jersey then I'd be happy forever.

Or the navy home jersey could look something like this:

Nope. He did what he did to stop the opposition. I never recall him ever cheap shotting anyone. He was just so good at laying out the body, hence the term Kronwalled.

Nearly every time he flattened Hemsky, it's cause Hemsky didn't keep his head up. That's the biggest no-no in hockey.

Or maybe use this somewhere on the jersey (Replace the red trim with an orange one?):

Nah, if they're adding an emblem like those scum(frank)s from down south, it should be the oil cog.

He's just pissy that he never got called up while having his best season in the AHL, when grinders got the call instead to plug in on the 4th line.

I don't doubt that... just seems to be an emerging trend with Finnish players... him Puljujarvi and whispers that Laine is causing the same issues.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: within Scandinavian countries, media interviews are a lot more candid and honest and you're encouraged (perhaps expected?) to show your personality. There isn't the cultural expectation of hockey players being the same "stoic, cookie-cutter, stay-in-your-lane" types that North Americans seem to expect. You saw the same with Eriksson (a Swede) and countless past examples. If there is/was a problem and they're asked about it, they're generally not going to avoid the subject.

In the case of Carolina, it seems a fair critique given their unique management structure.

That's because they haven't encountered any major issue with the organization yet... I mean, aside from the constant losing.

Erne would've been a good option for us to pursue if the cost was only a 4th. The guy has a some solid underlying numbers (small sample size) and is young enough to still have room to grow. Worst case, he's a young 4th liner; best case, he could fill a role as a complimentary middle-6 winger.
