Game 1 was great. The team played so good did not bother showing up for games 2,3,4,5.

They lost games 3 and I think 5 in overtime.. games they could have won. Great chances in ot in both those games. So yeah they showed up

Yeah everyone forgets about the two overtime games the Flames easily could have won. Still don't know they played well enough in the other games to win the series but if one of the Flames' poops go in the net in those overtime games as opposed to Colorado we could be having a very different conversation right now.

They were awful game one. Both teams were. That was the main problem. Colorado got desperate and the Flames thought they were good enough.

I just can't believe that Giordano is going to be 36 years old and has only played in 13 career playoff games.

overtime losses or not, he needs to lead his team to some post season wins before I start seeing more blogs about how "perfect of a season" he had

You're not wrong. I actually thought the turning point against the Avs came in game 2 when someone on the Avs absolutely rocked Gio. The Avs got a huge lift from that and Calgary didn't up their intensity. You can count on one hand the number of Flames who showed up for that series. It's hard to blame captain Gio for anything because he's been so good but man did the Flames come out flat last post season. And I seem to remember our all world D, giving up 50ish shots in a couple of the games.
