Perfect time to re-introduce the idea of creating a yahoo fantasy hockey league for this forums board. Last time I mentioned this, there was a good amount of people interested.

As such, post in this forum or via PM me if you'd like using the following template if you would like to join the league:

____________________________________________

username on hockeybuzz (I'm too lazy to look to the left):

Preferred league type (See the below link for the different types):

____________________________________________

I'll be posting this on the three next blogs as well just so everybody might be able to see this (including you too Freelancer )

Once I get an idea of just how many people this will have, I'll create a poll for the buy-in (range from $20-$70 I'd say based on initial guesses).

Georges Laraque reporting Would be a solid addition.

Draisaitl- McDavid- Kassian
Nygard- Nuge- Neal
Khaira- Brassard- Archibald
Granlund- Cave- Chiasson
Haas, Jurco

I'd actually be pretty content with a forward corps like that and it leaves room for Benson to bump Nygard down the line-up over time. Then an AHL forward corps rocking:

Benson- Marody- Yamamoto
Gambo- Malone- Currie
Maksimov- McLeod- Russell
Safin- Starrett- Hebig

I'm not sure it's fair for me to join. It would be awkward writing here having taken all your money.

Am i missing something with Brassard? Very meh offense (which would be even worse in our bottom 6), negative player on every team he plays for, and isn't even over 50% on the dot. I don't know how that's even better than Brodziak, and at what cost too?

Both my teams are (or were) in desperate need of a 3C.

He had an off year last year but prior to that was a 40ish point player.

Brassard has slowed down somewhat, but has consistently been good for 15G/35P (minimum) per 82 over the last 5 seasons.

Offensively he’s a FAR better option than Brodziak.

If the deal were for only 1 year (as is rumoured), then I’d have no issue signing him as a stop gap solution.

Edit: He is officially an Islander now, so the point is moot.

Nothing wrong with 1 year @ 1.2. Good signing for the Isles.
