I hope Talbot does well for you, excepting all BOA’s naturally.

So does Brodie stay now that Valimaki is dead?

Yes - I don't see how they can ship Brodie out now.

Piggy!

How is life up North?

Brodie stays until we have a clear cut replacement for him.

What are you going to do about Whiney the Puj? Does he get traded or does he get sent to a Gulag in Siberia?

They will ship him out when kylington proves he can handle the nhl / if Andrew MacDonald does good in his PTO with the flames

Meh, McDonald is not an NHL defenceman at this point in his career, and was barely one 3-4 years ago. He is AHL depth/vet presence a la Prout from last year (if anything). He will have zero bearing on a Brodie trade.

For the Flames to move Brodie, which is still entirely doable from my perspective:

1) Andersson has to claim that #2 role alongside Gio
2) Kylington has to be an everyday NHLer - don't this being a major hurdle
3) We still need the cap space for Chucky and AM
4) Frolik is untradeable
5) A cheaper option for 5/6 slot is returned

Hell, call up Jarmo and see if he wants Frolik for Harrington right now, solve the depth and cap issues and move on. While Tre's at it, send them Brodie for Werenski

1) Andersson has pretty much locked that spot up with his play last year.
2) He is our best hope if Brodie is traded but I agree it’s an unknown at this point
3) needing cap space is the reason that we would trade Brodie
4) frolik is not untradable. I believe the flames are not treating him as a cap dump yet they are looking for a return on him and most teams are trying to get him for pennies on the dollar.
5) McDonald would be a cheap 5/6 option and could provide leadership and mentoring to a young guy like kylington with low / sheltered mins

I hope you're right on Talbot

all I know is I'm going to hate watching the stretch pass from Smith to Mcdavid next year.

Smith is now the oilers best outlet pass defenceman...might get more assists then most their D

I think the only way we can move Frolik today is if we take salary back or injuries hit some team hard in the pre season.
This late in the off season very few contending teams have the cap space for a 4.3 mm two way winger!
If Frolik has a good year he will be valuable at the trade deadline but hopefully were not selling then.

Things are quite good. Und yourself?

Puljujarvi? Well, personally, I’d like to see Nurse grab hold of his BBC with both hands, and use it to pistol whip that arrogant Finnish (frank) all the way back to Helsinki.

But I’d also accept a trade for a 3C.
