I feel like there have been a ton of Kreider trade rumors this summer... Do the Rangers hate Kreider for some reason? I feel like he'd be a solid guy to hang onto. |

Where are the Hawks going to find the cap space to add Hoffman's 5.187?
Don't see it unless they have a taker for Seabrook, Keith, Saad or Crawford. |

Keith would have to waive and go to Florida. No way Seabrook is moved. But, if Keith went, I am all for it!!! |

He's got one year left and maybe they expect to lose him in FA? So typical "might as well get something for him while you can" rumour conjuring that happens with any pending free agent. At least that's my guess |

"stand by ION control"
seems like an awful lot for a guy who's claim to fame is jumping out of a swimming pool....impressive but that water aint frozen.

Just back from a vacation. Seems like I’ve missed a lot. Well maybe not…no offer sheets, no imminent McAvoy bridge deal, no Hoffman to Philly because now apparently its to Chicago!!
But there was this big 5-player deal going down between Buffalo and Detroit!! Is this the same Buffalo source that said the Sabres were preparing an offer sheet for a “prominent” RFA despite having no cap space? Do you ever change sources when they feed you absurd info? |

GMs are just starting to become more "focused" now. The RFA War is coming. League wide bedlam is on the horizon. Or in Ek's case Verizon. He's burning up the phone lines. Stay tuned... |

I also noted Tampa signing Patrick Maroon. Not reported here though. Too bad Tampa signed him to an actual NHL contract. They should have signed him to a PTO as a scare tactic to get Point to sign. But a real contract isn't scary at all. Oh well, I'm sure Yzerman has a plan here. |

I feel Holland would need to be let go if would acquire “ Kreider for Puls +” as it says in the headline.
As much as Oilers could use Kreider, Puls for 1 year of Kreider is not going ro happen.
Kreider + for Puls maybe....but then the Ranger fans won’t like it.
This deal would need to grow or Kreider would need to be signed to a longer term before hand. |

I mean, Kreider is the real deal. A damn good compliment to a future 2nd line with Draisaitl that would allow McDavid some breathing room. Either that or he'd help Nuge pull even (or above) and allow the Wonder Duo to work its magic!
If Holland thinks he has a chance at resigning him after the season, I'd certainly go as high as Puljujarvi, a not-top D prospect and a 3rd- though I'd push for the pick to be conditional based on his signing or something along those lines. |

Florida only has about 1.6 million in cap space
Chicago has just over 3 million
I'm curious if maybe it's Keith or Seabrook. I can't see saad getting moved that would hurt Chicago's forward depth, defensively Keith or Seabrook are the obvious choices |

The only way you do it for 1 year of Kreider, is if you think Puls is the next Yakupov. |

Keith and Seabrook are unmovable.
Saad seems like the obvious target, if this is true. |

With smith in chicago's line up now i doubt they trade for hoffman. All stan would do is have a quick discussion about him and they would move on rather quickly. |

Yep, Rantanen won't skip to his homeland Liiga, probably the second best league outside of North America or the best one, the KHL. Heck he won't even go to the SHL or the DEL, the next best options either. He's goin' with Norway. I'll stay tuned.
Here's the tweet, BTW:
https://twitter.com/Storh...tatus/1165905183588663296
My reading comprehension may be a bit rusty, anyone else see Storhamar claiming he'll start the season with them? I know I'm wearing burgundy and blue colored glasses but even what they do say seems a tad tongue in cheek.
Awesome reporting all the way around, Ek. |

A legit 25+ goal scorer for an unknown Player in Puljujarvi and a 3rd and not a top d prospect??? Really?? Puljujarvi, a first and a prospect is what gets it done, nothing else. |
