Big body that can actually skate with a heavy shot and a nose for the net.

If it wasn't for his age and "inexperience", Engvall is better than Gautheir already.

Hopefully he makes the team and a guy like Spezza doesn't keep him with the Marlies for any longer.

Really would like to see him replace Hyman on that 2nd line and give him a really good look with talented players.

Bracco > Engvall.

That being said, Engvall is a good prospect people tend to overlook. A lot of guys had Marchment pencilled in over Engvall, but I never fell for that one.

Certainly two different types of forward - and room for both in the future.

Maybe in the AHL, but in the NHL, Engvall is the better prospect with an actual chance to make a difference with the Leafs.

Not to mention, Leafs already have a bunch of guys who play exactly like Bracco (but way better). Leafs don't have many, if any, guys like Engvall.

Looking at how the team is built, I really don't think there is room for Bracco. Leafs have half a dozen guys that play "small, speed, skill" hockey and do so very, very well. There really isn't a good reason to add yet another player like that, especially in the bottom six forward group.

Does Harpur have a shot at making this team? Anyone have a clue about him? Another dude like engvall with some size that we could really use.

There were very few defensemen that were worse than Cody Ceci last year.

Harpur was one of them.

Nah. You just undervalue skill in lou of size.

Bracco > Engvall. Both have the talent to have a career in the NHL but Bracco is better and it will show.

Having more upside than Goat is the smallest compliment a prospect can get. If he is ahead of Scott and woll our goaltending is in dire straights beyond freddie

He was basically the #6D for the Senators, 2nd on the team in giveaways (60 in 51 games), only 89 hits (even though he's a giant) and his advance stats sucked too, constantly stuck in his own zone and relatively bad to his team mates too so you know it wasn't just the team, it was definitely him. As a LHD, it'll be disappointing if he plays at all for the Leafs.

Bracco has no size and no defense. He's made perfect to be a career AHLer.

Engvall is the better prospect for the NHL and more useful to the Leafs too, especially in the bottom six.

The Leafs top-six forwards blow Bracco out of the water in offensive talent. Where he is going to play? Turn the puck over on the 4th line? Babcock will strangle him.

Even if you just watched him when he played against the Leafs, you could see he was trash. He's like Phil Oreskovic, Jonas Frogren, Andy Wozniewski, Mark Fraser; just a big dummy they used to fill out the last spot on a lottery team.

There is when he will be cheap for several years, while the others will cost more.
Will need cheap scoring deep in the line up.

I didn't say he'd be a leaf for life. I agree we have a lot of guys with a similar style, but that doesn't make him a lesser prospect. He has more skill and that will be showcased either in Toronto or somewhere else.
