Sources say the pressure is on Shanahan to pay Kawhi, Marner money. Leafs were offered 2 1sts and Keller for Wienerlander. GM Mad Max declined. He was worried about paying a not as good player, less money.

Perfect guy for Matthews in a year imo.
Thing i like about him and Brooks are they take their time adjusting to different levels of hockey, but when they adjust they raise their game.
If he pans out it'll allow the Leafs to move a RW for a dman.
1 more year and we'll be there. |

Make a good trade and move him to fill a position of need while his stock is high. |

Still early to tell.
He started off amazing in his rookie year, then fell off tremendously.
And last year he didnt have a great season.
Still plenty of time to prove himself though, I'm sure he will be a consistent 70+ point player for the majority of the contract he just signed.

Nah. Better off trading Nylander and keeping the best young playmaker in the NHL.

What do you propose keeping in mind the cap constraints? |

A prospect of equal or greater value who plays C, RHD or G.
Leafs are good for small, speed, skilled wingers. They need to adjust their depth at other, more important positions.
Even another winger, but one who plays a bigger, more physical game, would be an improvement. |

Can't imagine a team is looking to trade a C or RHD prospect of equal value for a winger, especially a RHD. They're gold dust.
Are there many goalie prospects the Leafs are higher on than Woll and Scott? Not too sure.
Might be a tricky trade to make. |

Add to the deal accordingly to balance the value.
Woll is a decent prospect, Scott isn't all that impressive. Leafs definitely need some more depth in net as they might find themselves having to replace Andersen soon. |

What you have you seriously seen in Woll and Scott to determine one is decent and one isnt impressive?
It is way to early to determine that, especially with goalies. It's the most inconsistent position by a mile.
