Split or not on Kempe. Its a good deal. And can become a great deal if Kempe find another level to his game.

I think it's really a bargain. Especially when you consider the upside Kempe brings. Also, we haven't seen if his brother being on the team can help motivate him to the next level of any kind. It's good to see that he didn't get more money than Iafallo, who in my opinion brings more to the team.

On a side note, I'm more and more impressed with coach McC. Makes me really look forward to players being held accountable and nothing short of being all in will be accepted.

Mario Kempe hasn't been that good for a player in NA. I think its really a non factor. Other than him being in Ontario isn't that far from LA for them both being in America

I agree. Doubt that Mario himself makes much of an impact. I just think that there's a chance that he pushes his brother just by his presence. Could be wishful thinking though. Lol

Mario’s has reputation as a very hard worker. He’s limited in skill. I think it can motivate Adrian.

I mean. That thought could of been there for Gasper Kopitar .

I think this is a good deal for the Kings. He is only 22 years old and I think with his speed he can be a 20-20 guy in the NHL. I was thinking he would come in closer to $2.5 - $3M/yr so this is good.

I think this will be a good move for the future. I'm thinking AK can grow into our 2C and play with a couple of speedy skilled wingers that are currently playing in ONT. When Turcotte is ready, AK can drop to the 3C and give a solid C core like we had in the previous runs.

I don’t like him at C, he doesn’t win faceoffs. Wouldn’t mind seeing him moved to a wing because he’s pretty skilled. Low risk contract that can be moved if he doesn’t improve.

2mm/year for 3 years for a 35-45 pt, 22 year old 3c is a no-brainer. If the Kings are on the way-up from the bottom and are in year 1-2 of a rebuild, then they can flip him for picks and/or prospects since he'll still be RFA at the end of his deal. If he exceeds expectations and the Kings want to keep him, then there should be room under the cap with Carter, Brown, and Kovy off the books. I like the deal.

Doesn't both teams live near the TSC? They'll probably spend more off time and practice time together.
