MacD is a decent bottom pairing D. Reider should make the team. His shooting percentage was terrible and he has nowhere to go but up. He did a lot of things right, played a good 200' game, and generated chances. Just a classic oilers stone-hand curse. Good PTO's brought in

Amac has been booed during his introduction at the regular season home opener the last two years.

If any of these guys see regular ice time, even to start the season, there's a problem.

Mac is destined for the A to be the vet down there, or to be the pressbox guy.

Same goes for DSP/Rieder - press box, occasional 4th liner. Nothing more (barring a cap dump of Frolik where no NHL player comes back the other way)

Like bringing in Reider & DSP for a look.

If DSP is willing to sign a 2-way deal I'd be interested. He's a boat anchor during the regular season, but he can be a wrecking ball during the post-season.

If signing him keeps BT from overpaying guys like Maroon and Reeves (rumored to be in on both guys last year) then I am all for it

So what's up with Mangiapane ? Heard Tre's interview and it sound like Mange is digging in for more money. He's nuts IMO, with less than 10 goals, he isn't even a full time NHLer yet IMO. What's he worth ? $800 k max ?
