Nygaard and Haas speed should really help the pp. Might take some games for them to adjust. Gagner is another one who should light it up on the pp like he did in Columbus... |

Keep loading up Connors line and leave nuge alone to carry bottom 6’ers.
Cause it’s worked is well in the past.....
Keep kassian there and try Neal with nuge. This has to be the plan, no?
And if you’re gonna play the top pp unit 1:30+, fine stack it. But if you’re not, balance that sh1t abit!! Last years second unit was fuking abysmal

On the other hand, neither nygaard nor haas might help anything cause they might not even be nhl caliber. Or anything more than bottom 6’ers. In fact, that’s far more likely.
Gags is fine and all on the 2nd unit, but I wouldn’t count on him lighting anything up for certain |

Draisaitl- McDavid- NOT CHIASSON
Benson- RNH- Neal
Khaira- Sheahan- Granlund
Nygard- Marody- Archibald |

Draisaitl- McDavid- NOT CHIASSON
Benson- RNH- Neal
Khaira- Sheahan- Granlund
Nygard- Marody- Archibald
So McDavid and Draisatl on 1st line
RNH and a salary dump on the 2nd line
Sheahan, who went a calendar year without scoring centering the 3rd line.
Things are looking grim in Edmundane |

Alternatively:
Best scoring duo in the league on the 1st
A quality 2C, quality prospect and bounceback candidate on the 2nd
A shutdown line featuring two top-50 PKers (by results) and Granlund
I'm not one to view things optimistically but I refuse to accept the absolute worst interpretation, as well. |

Kass in the first line spot.
Chiasson maybe in khairas spot ?
Otherwise bang on I’d say [url] |

Sheahan is a solid pick up...keeps some of the kids in the minors a bit longer...veteran player who knows his role in the lineup... |

he has 22 goals in his last 243 NHL games and is a negative possession player.
some of that is related to starting over 60% of his shifts in the D zone, but still... |

Exactly when you are set up in a defensive situation Everytime your scoring stats won't be great...if he hits 20 points but plays a solid defensive game it's all u can ask... |

Kassian is definitely my default to begin with. I'd prefer Khaira over Chiasson, but I could see those two a Granlund fighting for the spots on the shutdown line. Another thing that might be interesting is adopting Sheahan as the C for the sheltered line. He had some quality numbers alongside Jurco in that role and, along with one of Nygard or Archibald would add some speed.
Granlund- Khaira- Chiasson
Nygard- Sheahan- Jurco/Archibald
Maybe gives Marody the leeway to compete with Benson for the open W spot on the 2nd line. |
