Sharks were one blown call from being a first round out team last year, and have subtracted from where they were. Thornton being more dedicated to San Jose than he is worried about jumping to a Cup contender is admirable, but not sure I'd make the same call when it's not like he is a one franchise player already.. He could have easily had the job Maroon took with Tampa Bay if he wanted.

Lets not forget that no team should give up 4 goals on a 5 minute major regardless of the call, which I agree wasn't called correctly. You might be surprised though with some of our youth in our system. Losing Pavs will hurt but he wasn't getting any faster and I think he produces less than 25 goals in Dallas given he doesn't have Burns and EK65 shooting at the net. Nonetheless congrats on winning the cup!

winning the cup is not enough? you need to try to diminish what other teams accomplished too?

Also it's fairly concerning how social media makes people feel like their opinion based on one clip or highlight is just as good as facts and arguments with perspective.

In other news the Sharks hired Ned Coletti, former Dodgers GM (yes a baseball team), to be a scout. Wtf?

I see that even with the summer break and a championship your posts are as classy as ever...

& I'm not sure your blues bolstered their repeat chances either...

Coletti was great at getting the Dodgers together for wins during the season only to flame out during the playoffs. He'll fit right now with the Sharks.

Perhaps the Kings should've used him to get them some reg season wins & get them back into the postseason...?

Jumbo Joe is back which can only mean one thing.... No Stanley Cup! Never has a team gone 15 plus yrs of "experts" claiming this is the year while making the same mistake yr after yr. The Sharks organization is stuck in neutral.

You dont live in Canada and listen each year to the media saying this is Toronto's year do you? I can't remember the last time the Leafs weren't thrown down the west coasts throats about this being the year and even the previous year when they finished bottom 10 was an anomaly. But leafs fans will claim they are always underdogs.

Different scenarios. Oh and.... keep dreaming. Shanahan is a traitor who won the Cup by crying and demanding he be traded to a winner. Toronto needs to get rid of him, can't win with his mentality.
