I believe it’s now official. I’d be ok with provy taking that. Means we have cap space for the next three years lolol

Bill, is it safe to assume TK is working on a long term deal? Provy was waiting on comparables but that is not the place with TK? I would think a bridge deal for him would be rather quick to figure out.

Not necessarily. Could be a bridge deal for him as well. There is always a price point to agree to at every term length of a bridge deal; not just for a long-term.

It could be tough in summer 2022 if TK and Provy both get 3 year deals.

I'd prefer 3 x $5m for Provorov, and maybe 6 x $5m for Konecny.

I just don't understand why his is taking so long, the other RFAs for forward are considerably above his pay grade at the moment.

Huge news for the Flyers with that Werenski deal.

Maybe the team can use that as a chip to get Provy signed longer term at around 6.5 or 7.

Well, one can dream.

All that matters is going into the season with a full squad without any question marks. All indications are, we should be equal to or better than last season. We saw a lot of promise in Carter Hart last year but now he has to do it against. Let’s get our guys signed and let’s see an 82 season of effort.

I can live with 3 years and 15 million for Provy if that will get a deal done.

With the substantial , what I feel are positive changes , to this team if all we are is equal to last year then this year is a total failure.

Proven winning coach with experienced assistant coaches
A full year of Hart and a healthy Elliot
Hayes and Nisk are improvements . Braun probably is also but IMO he wasnt necessary though I understand that move.
More youth.

All of that better equate to more than equal to.

I think there is no question the team will be better this season.

Last year was a perfect storm of bad luck and bad decisions. One needs to look no further than this team breaking the NHL record for most goalies used in one season.

Even if they did nothing I am sure they would be better. Adding Hayes, Niskanen, and Braun just helps. There may be one kid added to the mix....maybe......but for the most part all our key youth will be back with more experience. Its going to be better.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Hayes, Nisky, and Braun. But Hart and hopefully Provorov and Ghost not sucking is a start. Plus the coaching staff has been upgraded exponentially.

For me, It all comes down to who takes the next step. I think the amount of success they achieve hinges on guys like TK, Patrick, Linblom and Provorov taking the next step.

On the back end the question is Carter Hart. He should have a solid D corps in front of him. He has a great opportunity to succeed. Hopefully he takes it.

Do you just give him the same or tell him that it’s a little less.

Werenski probably deserves more

It blows my mind how little respect G get's from national media, like 32 is still a solid spot but there is definitely an argument that he should be in the top-20.

Other than the fact it's a move the Flyers made what is different now that warrants this statement?

4th in scoring over the past 10 years, 5th over the past 2 years since moving to wing.

He simply doesn't get the respect...and no one can seem to figure out why.
