I agree with your assessment that the RFA market is nonsense this off-season. I cannot remember a time when there were so many RFAs of this caliber in late negotiation. Hopefully this is not a trend set by TOR-Nylander contract hold out and subsequent signing last year.

Surprised he was willing to go that low when CBJ has no one else to pay. Otherwise it's at least in the ballpark and hopefully is remembered in his next deal.
