Bouchard was probably the best player the past couple of games....the more I think about it the more I see him being a John Carlson type guy....career paths seem to be similar as well

Few notes: it was $5 everything so i was indulging a little. And i mean everything. Tickets $5 (12th row, section 108), parking $5, beer $5, Cesar's $5, burgers $5, nachos $5... you get the point. Lucic was in a box 2 rows behind me, I made sure to throw a "Lucic sucks" his way.
Gamewise, they didnt look very into it. Outshot 41-17 or something like that. Rodrigue made a few nice saves, but let in a softie. Wolf for Calgary didnt get very many tough chances against. Best players for Edmonton were Safin, Bouchard, and Hebig. Benson seemed to have the puck find him quite a bit and Samurokov laid a nice open ice hit but seemed to need quite a bit of instruction from Bouch as to where to go and what to do during play. Best player of the game tho was Ruzicka (sp?). Seemed to always be involved in play. As a flames fan i would be excited.
Flames were easily the better team but it was just a rookie expo so it doesnt say much. There is a lot of size in the Oilers pipeline. That Desharnais kid is huge and even flames fans were noting the size of Samu and Bouch. If skill and effort levels catch up to the size they are gonna be a fun team to watch and hell to play against.
