The real question on Lias is how far he can chuck a medal now?

Interesting take on the goalies, I don't think there is any way 3 are making the opening night roster though. Either Shesty is going to Hartford, or Georgie is going to get traded.

Marner not signed in Toronto. Honka asks for trade out of Dallas. Our own Tony D'Angelo holding out. Connor and Laine both unsigned in Winnipeg. So many RFA's across the league not coming to camp. Curious to see how this plays out in the coming weeks...

Honka requested a trade from Dallas, weren't you guys crazy about that guy?

He's OK, I don't think he's any better than Fox though.

I was hoping that Honka was going to be part of the return from Dallas in the Zucc trade. That didn't happen obviously, but since we acquired Fox, I don't think he is an attractive trade target for us anymore.
I'd rather have D'Angelo on the right side, they are the same age, but Tony is better...

Oh he's way better. I think Honka has like 60-70 career games and only like 10 pts. Small sample size for sure on a good team, but like Pionk had better output.

I hope that the same people who are saying don't give ADA a ton because he's still somewhat unproven aren't advocating for Honka who hasn't put up near the production and really hasn't shown he can stick on a pro roster yet.

If someone trades for Honka would that make them a Julius seizer?

I'd love to see Gorton trade Tony D for another prospect or a pick.

There are a lot of teams desperate for defensemen. I don't see ADA as being anything more than mediocre. Good offense offset by shaky defense.

Unless someone is playing on the offside, Raddysh is your back up RD at this point unless you move Smith back to there. They really need ADA.

I don't want to give him away, but for the right deal I'd certainly be willing to entertain the thought of trading him

ultimately, I think he'll just take the one year offer and we'll move on

From a guy living in Dallas he's very "meh." I get similar vibes from him that I did with players like Del Zotto, Erixon, Gilroy, etc.

Quotes aren't working...referencing Honka in Dallass

Told there is currently wide gulf between Rangers and DeAngelo. NYR don’t seem inclined to move off same $925,000 for which Lemieux signed. Puck is in the defenseman’s end.

I wouldn't be shocked if ADA wants $2-$2.5 mil AAV for 1-2 seasons.

Kind of stinks there is an issue between the coaches and ADA, I really feel like he could be a very good piece going forward.

Looking at what Morrissey and Provorov just signed for, I don't think D'Angelo is crazy.

He's for sure worth 2 million. I'd almost think if the team even offered something reasonable like 1.5, maybe a deal could get done. I'm not sure why the team is playing such extreme hardball here.

I get the feeling they want to hold onto Kreider until the deadline and have as much leverage as possible in moving Namestnikov. If all of their players are signed with room for call-ups they don't have their backs against the wall in negotiations.

If it's not that ADA must have some significant character issues weighing down his value.
