So, TK’s agent is making it a stand-off. This is not good.

The whole NHL landscape for salaries is changing .....the young RFA’s coming off 3 year entry level deals want the big money and there’s really no way to avoid situations like Konecny’s....makes me think the Next CBA will have these contracts as a central focus from the ownerships side. The league has to find a way to get these young guys playing. It not good for the players, the fans or the owners..

Seems like Stewart can grab that spot as it’s there for the taking. Hope he gets it

I would really like to see someone else show they can step up and take the spot TK is holding out on..someone on an entry level contract....and we thought Provy would be harder to sign

Yeah, demanding a long term deal is one thing but it also sounds like he wants an unreasonable dollar amount too. Fletcher is far from stingy, so I doubt much, if any, of this is on him. Makes me wonder if Konecny just wants out of Philly.

I think the rookies have a better chance of winning a spot than Stewart but if they want to give him a AHL spot and have him in case of injuries I'm all for it.

Might be time for a new agent, unless the money is Koneckny’s idea. We may never know.

Get this sense that the TK/Flyers relationship is going to get pretty strained and maybe to a point of no coming back. It just doesn’t sound good.

And regarding Patrick’s injury, quoting Fletcher in saying something he’s been dealing with for awhile now? Geez what the hell kind of offseason has he had? Is it another concussion that symptoms have been reoccurring again?

Did Fletcher really cite Dale Weise not being "here" in camp and it meaning anything at all other than merciful relief?

I don't know what TK's agent is thinking but he's just not a long term, big cap hit option at this point.

I love AV's response to the situation. And I think Fletch is being pretty transparent.

Doesn't sound like this will end any time soon and I don't think anyone is trading for him with those contract asks. Ugh

Haven’t been reading comments most of the summer but... how about Ghost plus 4th round for Mike Hoffman? 😁

Sounds as though they held back, kept it pc. Probably wanted to unload on him with a bunch of profanities. Still early though.

If there was ever time to trade the #2 overall pick that was it...could have moved down and got some other picks or a roster player

He had a history of not being able to stay healthy. He never shook it. Silver lining I guess, don’t have to protect him from Seattle.

Seems pretty unlikely. He’s 31 and hasn’t really been able to get on the nhl ice in a couple years. Sounds like he’s a great guy and working hard. I guess he raises the compete level in practice and is a good example for the kids? It would be great to have him from 3 or 4 years ago.

So you'd have an expansion team take him for nothing?

I get that injuries are frustrating but he still has value as a young center prospect.

At the current rate, what do you think his value will be 2 years from now? He won’t be a young prospect anymore. He’ll surely be passed by multiple players for a spot on the top 6 and center position.

Seems like always dealing with some kind of UBI. Shoulder maybe? It’s a shame...he has a lot of potential. So who’s 3C? Laughton?

Substitute patrick for Coots and we had this exact conversation a thousand times from 2012-16

Everyone needs to slow the (frank) down with this trade patrick absurdity. I bet all of yall wanted to trade Embiid when he was always hurt huh?
