“Not Likely”

Agree on Boyle, Jets replacement for Hendricks?
Edmonton could use Marleau.
Phaneuf to Montreal.
I think Williams is back with the Canes or done.

My Senators predictions:
74Pts
Connor Brown scores 30+
Chabot continues crushing it.
Hainsey skates like he has Workbooks on.
Zaitsev struggles to do anything with the puck.
Melnyk says/does something stupid by Thanksgiving.

It will certainly be fun watching the relative progress of Zaitsev vs. Ceci. Methinks both fan bases may be okay with what they got.

I could definitely see the Edmonton/Marleau fit. Good call.

As for your predictions, a few of them seem more like guarantee. I'll leave it to others to figure out which ones I'm referencing.

My prediction: Both fan bases will be happy to get rid of what they got rid of, and will immediately want to get rid of what they got.

My only gripe with the trade is that Ottawa gave up a pick in the trade when it should have been Toronto giving up a pick or nobody at all.

I think it might be more accurate to say the Sens sold the Leafs the draft pick in exchange for the Leafs paying Zaitsev a July 1 bonus of $3m.

I like this in general, especially that last one.

I think we'll earn a few more points, but not that much more. I do hope that one of the players we got (Hainsey or Zaitsev) will end up being useful other than warming benches.

You know, I never thought of this pick we gave away as payment for not forking over the bonus, but it does make sense. Real question is: in people's eyes (other than EM's), is a draft pick worth $3M or not?

Mrs. Spatso dragged me to the Canadian Tire Centre for the Michael Buble concert last month. As we pulled up to the parking booth I was certain that it was Eugene himself who collecting the parking fee.

$3,000,000 is 200,000 parking spots at $15 a pop. And, you wonder if he would sell a draft pick.

Not sure if this qualifies, but side note on our clown of an owner: I just heard on the news that he was being sued by some native casino in the US for bounced bank drafts back in 2017, totaling $900K.
