All fair points. Seems like Barzal started off that way, too, but it seems he is more coachable.... - JohnScammo
100%, JHS’s biggest problem is everyone who had him said he isn’t coach able.
Wants to play the game his way and it just isn’t going to fly at the NHL or AHL level in mho, hope I am wrong. |

Agreed, Barzal takes constructive criticism and listens to what the coaches tell him and changes/changed his ways.
JHS just doesn’t get it unfortunately. He keeps you on the edge of your seat at both ends of the ice. |

At this point who cares about Ho Sang. The reality is if Lou Lam was GM during that draft Ho Sang wouldnt have been drafted. Its more of a distraction. He doesn't stand out like Barzal did so at this point who cares about him......just move on. |

I think that’s the reality however if he gets his shat together and can be a consistent 2 way player and contribute to the team in a positive way on and off the ice, then I’m sure everyone would be thrilled. |

Every year its the same thing with him. He cant get out of his own way. He's cringeworthy at times with his comments in the media. I just would rather focus on prospects who are on pace, rather than keep hoping Ho Sang finally "gets it". As I said before, no way Lou drafts a kid who was labeled a problem. Just move on already. Let him start his career elsewhere. |

I agree he isn’t drafted if Lou was here because he’s never been shat on
That said he’s here and I think Lou and Trots know he has talent and as an asset of the NY Islanders they needed to try and get him on track. I think this year will be his last shot to turn his ways around. I don’t think he will but again hopefully he does.

He drafted what's-his-face, who I think had a reputation...Cormier, maybe? Although that reputation was for dirty hits. I remember he finally ended up getting suspended for the season in juniors for a flying elbow that sent a guy into convulsions. And Lou ended up trading him, I want to say in the Kovalchuk trade. |

He's frustrating b/c he is fken good. He has very good speed, incredible vision, and sick hands. I am not sure why you hate him so much.. but I want him on this team. Put his skill set on the 3rd line and it's a match-up nightmare for teams. You have 3 lines with good speed and skill. |

Is he that good though? He's flashy but he cant seem to crack the lineup. Clearly the isles brass feels the same. |

Agree, nite. I guess I'm the eternal optimist and am still hoping that the kid "gets it" finally. He's got the talent. Now I hope he can learn that, at the NHL level, you can't always get away with stuff that might have worked in juniors. |

Compared to whom? Uncle Leo???? Yeah, Komarov makes him look "that good".... I think nite's point is that he's got far more talent, but his mental mistakes are the reason he's not in the lineup. At least, that's how it seems to me.
