I remember the team having winning preseasons in the mid-2000s and then having miserable seasons, and I want to say that they had mostly losing preseasons when they were contenders. With that in mind, I hope that they lose tonight .

Regarding Kaliyev being cut, it's only because the OHL starts its regular season tonight. There was no question that he'd be returning there, since he's not eligible for the AHL and he has a lot more development to do to be NHL ready, so there was no point to keeping him. Any little extra teaching that they might've given him in Kings camp wouldn't have been worth him missing games, starting the season off on the wrong foot and potentially missing the chance to lead the league in goals.

I wonder if we'll see Carter as a healthy scratch before too long...

Thanks. It's nice to know that someone appreciates me.

BTW, I just saw that the game is being shown on NHL Network.

That reminded me even more of Voynov, but yeah.

Kings pretty much control the game for 55 minutes; then, a stupid own goal gives the Knights momentum and it's tied less than a minute later. Why am I not surprised? At least it gives the coaches something to teach tomorrow, about playing for 60 minutes, not 55.
