I doubt I'd do Nylander for Laine, straight up.

I'm too scared to trade for that guy.

3 goals in October.

18 goals in November.

9 goals the rest of the way.

How is that even possible?
- Atomic Wedgie

really?
Laine would be a fan favorite in Toronto.
he's the perfect 'anti-hero'...
if he could be had on the cheap (Nylander salary) I'd make that trade any day of the week..
we'll put him on the 3rd line though

We would have run him out of town by December 15 if he had played for the Leafs last year

He wouldn't ever want to come back after everyone tore him apart for the kind of season he had last year.

Nylander is already a Nylander salary anti-hero. And I'll go on record right now he gets more points than spatso's hero Laine this season anyway.

Laine is bad for the dressing room. He seems to be an issue with the Jets. He threw his linemates under the bus, there is speculation that Big Buff hates the guy and wants Laine traded (who knows if true).

He's also the most one dimensional player in the league, and we are already a team who scores lots of goals so there is no need for Laine here in my opinion.

Laine would definitely benefit from having an elite playmaking C on his line and not... Bryan Little.

Conversely, Little would benefit more from a winger who didn't do nothing and hope he gets setup for a one timer.

Max

“Sheldon Keefe is a toxic person because of what he may or not have done as a 20 year old”

“Mitch Marners mom is trailer trash and a horrible person because she flossed and probably was a loser on social media”

Also Max

“I’d trade Nylander for Laine in a heartbeat”

Laine is better than Nylander. I don’t really like his attitude, but I don’t like Nylanders either. Laine had a down season, and he (frank)ing hates WPG, why wouldn’t he? Let’s not forget, Nylander sucked poop last year, too. Laine would probably thrive in a warmer climate. Anaheim/LA would be wise to trade for him.

I'm not saying Nylander's better, I'm saying Nylander is going to get more points this season.

Not sure why he would need a warmer climate, he's Finnish.

The only thing Laine does is get points, so if Nylander gets more points, it means he is better.

Call me crazy, but I don't love the idea of free spirit Laine in LA.

It depends on if Laine gets straightened out. I think Nylander will have a big year and Laine might sit out part of the year and eat poop this year. But in the long term Laine might get his poop together and be better.

How was Laine - 24 on the Jets last year? That's on a good team.
