Lindgren isn't going to open many eyes because he is a stay at home gritty type defenseman. Might not get the looks he should in this age of defenseman having to have a much higher offensive ceiling.

You will be seeing hall for the first time in preseason tonight

Hall-hughes-palms
Zajac and Simmonds are also scheduled to play

Gusev, Nico, bratt, boqvist are not scheduled

Subban is also playing

That should be a pretty nice 1st line.

I hope Chytil has progressed, we really need it.

I know there is about a 0% chance Tarmo breaks camp with the club, but you gotta wonder if he puts in some strong showings if we can convince him to go to Hartford instead of his parent club. As much as I'd be uneasy with another rookie D on the team this year, it's not like Morrow is someone who has played a ton of games.

I can't remember the Rangers ever having so many young defensive prospects

I think the first line will still be hall Nico palms, since Nico played Wednesday and Hughes didn't they are seeing how Hughes does with hall

Hughes had very good chances with gusev including the gw in OT vs Boston where Hughes had 2 goals

It finally feels good that both teams are on the way up and the rivalry can mean something again

Never in my watching. I guess when Staal, G, and Sauer came up in short order is sort of similar since you had a couple more guys who never made it, but even that falls well short of today.

Yeah. I meant a nice 1st line for tonight.

Nico definitely has filled out. Was kind of shocked when I saw him on wednesday night. Dude was like rail thin and had some trouble with getting knocked off the puck easily. Extra weight should help his game a lot.

Would have been nice to see what kind of career Sauer would have had. He had some offense but was really good defensively too.

Be interesting to see if he has a bit of a resurgence. He was a shell of himself last year.

I feel like once you lose your skating legs you are almost done in this league. So yea wondering if he is able to get his game back to where it was

I really believe he would have been the best out of all of them. I'm not sure he still wouldn't be a productive guy even today

Pock kinda hurt too in a different way. Sort of that era's Day in that he had all the tools, but could never really put it together.

Couple years ago I would have loved him on the Rangers. We really needed an bumhole.

No doubt. If you can't skate, you better be Jags or Selanne and be able to just line up in the slot on the power play and snipe. Simmonds was never that guy. He's basically Lucic at this point without the contract.

Correct...I only recall the "hey...look at the one prospect we (may) have". ?And that was pretty much it.

I'm a little pessimistic that it's going to go well, but it's a big opportunity for him. As much as it looks like Chytil has the inside track of 2C, I still think it's somewhat up in the air.
