You are missing the point. Stewart is being given a chance to prove he can be on the roster. Teams allow amateurs to join their tryouts all the time. Teams dont care about giving players a shot but you have to better than all the other guys to make it. Stewart is not likely to do that. Fletcher is going to ice the best team he possibly can. If Stewart doesnt show Fletcher that he has more value than guys like NAK he isnt going to make it. Dont be surprised if he is released within the next couple of days.

Tbh I've been more impressed by Myers this preseason than Sanhiem but I think he's played pretty well too.

I think the defense is finally less of an issue. We’re 1-2-1 in pre season. Okay, the record doesn’t look great heading into the regular season BUT, all low scoring games, which is great for the defense.

Well it really doesn’t matter what you think. Your personal view isn’t what makes or breaks a player from making the team.

Twarynski just jumped a bunch of guys on the depth chart. Did cuts get him motivated? If he keeps this up, I’m thinking one of Raffl or Lindblom can play RW, opening the 4LW for Twarynski. He plays well with Laughton. Hate me if you want but I loved what I see in Stewart as both a team glue guy, veteran positive attitude and physical 4th liner. He can also be the 13th guy if everyone is healthy with Pitlick back in the lineup.

Goals and we won! Hart is perfect.

I hope they keep playing Morin, he started looking better tonight. I think though he needs something to break his way for a chance in the top 6. Trade or injury or someone really being off their game. I wish he would get an opportunity to play with Niskanen, Sanheim or Myers and see how they do together. I thought he and Friedman did good tonight though.

But tonight I saw a staged fight, a late unnecessary cross check penalty, and a fumbled puck that led to the Rangers goal. Several Flyers laid out body checks but he wasn’t one of them. I don’t think he makes the cut and that’s fine with me.
