So, you're saying we are going to lose against Tampa and Detroit?

Mostly, because you called them "Dirty D"

Also, it's Tampa.. They will go on a 27 game win streak starting with that game against the Leafs.. Calling the Leafs an excellent team always backfires

Lucas, I'd say that while allowing 5 goals isn't an NHL calibre performance, that wasn't Hutchinson's fault.

It's more retrospective, really. I was watching the game at a party with some friends who aren't Leaf fans, so you know: "friends". Like I'd still save them in a zombie apocalypse, but I'd probably save other people first. Anyway . . .

When Montreal scored their 3rd goal, I blurted out, "For (frank) sake! Make a save!". My friend just laughed and laughed and was again reminded of why he likes watching Leaf games with me.

In Overtime, my friend commented, "Every Leaf fan should be s*** his d***. You should have lost 3 times by now." And as irritating as it is, he was right.

In hindsight, Hutchinson did as well as can be expected. Montreal jammed the crease and the net, and there were goal line scrambles that our defense did nothing about. They came with speed and pressure, and the Leafs, who I think figured they'd already won, didn't respond.

that's why the finger wasn't pointed at anyone.

I don't think he played great by any means. And the defense stunk as the game went on, seemed tired.

Oh I know.. Dirty D, sounds like the nickname of a winner.

I may have exaggerated a little by saying 27 games, it will only be like a 25 game win steak.

Can we just blame Kapanen? It's not all on Hutchinson, because our not so dirty defense couldn't defend.

Yup. They're a hard working team.

Fun fact, 100% of their goals so far came from the crease. You'll see plenty of guys crashing the net and getting those rebounds.

And let's be fair, Leafs dominated the first two periods outrageously. Did they get tired at the end of back to back games? Maybe.

Lucas, buddy, pal.... Max wants us to trade Nylander for Hintz.. Thinks we would win that trade, because, well, who knows what goes on in Max's head. I don't.
